Sugar Maple Cottage-Pet Friendly! Clayton

JillRating, 5 stars6 days ago
A beautiful location and the home was very comfortable and met our needs. We enjoyed the large well stocked kitchen. The family room has comfortable furniture, although I would suggest end tables. One bedroom opens out upon a deck, which we all enjoyed the view. And finally I would like to mention Billy the cat. He showed up the first night during a thunderstorm frantic to get the house. We didn't accommodate him as we didn't think it was allowed. I feed him the next morning and every day afterwards and love his friendly demeanor. Thanks for a lovely stay.

“The Happy Place” River front cabin with dock

NathanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Great place to stay if you want to get away. Quiet and peaceful. During the day listen to the birds and river flowing while sitting on the front porch reading a good book. At night watch the fire flies dace around the tress. Loved spending time in my hammock watching the river and the day drifting away. Had a great time unwinding. Will definitely repeat.

Perch on Burton: Top Patio & Bottom Dock Retreat

EdRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The view from the living room and covered patio where even better then expected. The photos do not do it justice, the sun set every evening dropping behind the mountains and reflecting off the water was beautiful. Work is bringing us back to the area in a couple months. Will definitely be rebooking to stay at this property again.

I absolutely loved my holiday week at this cabin. There were so many places to read and relax and have a glass of wine in the evenings. And Absolutely gorgeous views. VIEWS! 100+MB WIFI! firepit, private, convenient

CarrollRating, 5 stars66 months ago
Gorgeous mountain retreat is a perfect way to describe this property. I found everything in the description of this property to be true. In my opinion Karla’s description was very humble and we found the property to be much better than expected. Entire family celebrated my father’s 90th birthday, and found the house plenty spacious for all of us. With full living space on the main level and downstairs we never felt crowded. The house was immaculate and very well stocked with items that were above and beyond any other property I’ve ever stayed in right down to the firewood. Directions were easy to follow and communication was always done in a timely fashion. If you want to relax, do nothing, enjoy the views this is the place for you. If you want to be active, go hiking, play golf, tennis, etc. this is the place for you. If you want to grill out and watch football with the gang, this place is for you. So if you have a large group, and you are looking for a mountain getaway, I recommend that you stop looking and book this property NOW!!

Large Resort Cabin w/ Breathtaking Views + Firepit

AngelaRating, 5 stars4 months ago
I cannot say enough about this beautiful cabin. It was perfect for our family Christmas vacation in the mountains. The home has a warm, welcoming feeling with all the special extra touches. The cabin is perfect for large families and you still feel like you have a lot of privacy. The Christmas tree and Christmas trimmings in the home were perfect. The communication was great with the host. I will highly recommend this cabin to friends and family. I hope to return in the future. If you’re looking for somewhere good to eat in the area The Vandiver in Clayton was excellent.

The Carriage House @ Possum Trot

PriscillaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The Carriage House was absolutely perfect for my stay-cation with my husband and dog. We used the fire pit every morning and evening. There is some firewood available on site, but you may need to bring your own if you plan to use the fire pit often. The cabin itself is incredibly well-kept and thoughtfully decorated. The kitchenette has a larger model mini fridge that can easily hold 2-3 days of food, and a wheel-away cart with a hotplate, microwave, toaster, and toaster oven. The property is very dog friendly! And even had dog bowls and toys put out for our pup 😍 It is 10 minutes away from town that offers plenty of restaurants and shopping. 15-30 minutes away from multiple hiking spots! The Carriage House has a connected walkway to the main-cabin but it is completely separate and private. Christina was very communicative and provided all the details for an easy check-in/out. She is very kind and responsive!

FiND ThE HiDDEN DiSCOUNTED RaTES! Mountain Views!

EvanRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The home is in Sky Valley (very close to Dillard—high up the mountain), and there are lovely views from both levels of the home. A great deal of attention has been paid to updating - flooring, bathrooms, and linens - with a great blend of a nod to the old and amenities expected today. The kitchen is well-stocked. Instructions and restaurant recommendations/things to do are well-outlined in the "home notebook". Beds are super comfortable. Brittany was great to work with - extremely responsive and helpful. The home is nestled into the mountain, and there is no "outside space" beyond the decks. Those decks are very high up. Also, if you are bringing a dog, know that you can't just "take it outside" - grass in the area is minimal. You can drive down the mountain to the golf course, but that's not a great solution after dark. And temps are cooler by quite a few degrees - great to getaway from summer heat!
