Village apartment near SLU

Enjoy being easy walking distance to St. Lawrence University and main street. The efficiency apartment has a full kitchen and cozy combined bedroom and seating room with a view over the deck and backyard where a BBQ is available. The entrance from the deck is private and separate from the main house where I live with two quiet dogs on a friendly street. The apartment is 20 m walking/5 m driving to SUNY Canton and 15 m driving to Potsdam. There are also trails and two golf courses nearby.

A Perfect Outdoor Retreat For Couples or Outdoor Enthusiasts! Finished in pine, this cabin says nothing but the outdoors and Adirondacks. The kitchen, living room, sun room and bathroom occupy the first floor, while "two cozy bedrooms can be found on the second floor". The cabin is fully furnished with everything you’ll need for cooking, sleeping and relaxing. It also offers an amazing view of the river that can be seen everywhere. Sorry, no pets of any kind allowed at the cabin!

My niece was graduating from SUNY Potsdam and we were looking for a place close by to stay as a family. I'm so glad we booked Shayne's house. It was a great location - just 30 min from Potsdam. My niece said it eased her anxiety to stay here with the family before graduation. I actually wish we could have stayed longer. It was such a peaceful location and everything was so comfortable. We felt at home as soon as we walked in.

What a lovely spot! Susan & family were so welcoming, my 4 year old loved getting to meet the many beautiful critters surrounding the guest house (getting toppled over by a friendly goat just added to the adventure!). The space is thoughtfully laid out to maximize the views, and the bed & furnishings are super comfortable. This was a staycation for us and it was truly a treat to have such a relaxing getaway in our own neighborhood.

Emily was a great host! Very very responsive for our questions, was able to clear a couple things up, and even offered an extended stay! The location is nice, offers basic amenities. Couldn't quite get to the water from the location due to overgrowth, but it was a quick walk across the street to do so. The train going by was loud at times, but that's obviously not the hosts doing! lol. Otherwise, a suitable spot for a place to stay when visiting. :)

We stayed here for a wedding that was at a local venue. The host had great communication right from the time we booked. Unfortunately we didn’t spend a lot of time in the house, but we are excited to bring our kids and hike some trails and possibly ride the side by side on some trails as well. The lodge was absolutely perfect and we fell right in love with this area! It definitely is a place we would love to return to! Wish we could have enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and the beautiful deck. Great host! Great location! Perfect for a family getaway to enjoy the outdoors.

If a wonderfully appointed cottage, nestled amongst the pines, overlooking soothing water is what you are after, then look no further! Enjoy your first cup of coffee on the screened porch, if you wish (and I highly recommend), while listening to the birds, watching them swoop back and forth from their feeder, as the sunrise begins your day. Take an easy walk along the water if you'd like. We felt at peace. We were delighted to see that the pictures posted on the site were spot on. The woodwork throughout the cottage, including handmade kitchen cabinets, is extraordinary. Our host was very attentive, answering our questions within minutes. The cottage was quite close to very nice restaurants and shopping. If you go, enjoy your stay. You won't be disappointed.
