“A perfect location to relax and rest. We were close to Brattleboro and Keene. Putney is a quaint small town that is fun to explore. Lisa’s place is so homey with many lovely touches. My husband and loved the cottage so much we asked to stay an extra night. Lisa is an extraordinary host who caters to her guests’ needs. She’s very responsive when you need assistance. We hope to come back again and stay here!”
Come relax in beautiful Putney. Home is at the end of a dirt road just 1/2 mile from RT5 and 2.5 miles from I 91. The view is magnificent! We are on 46 acres that includes a large 7 acre pond.
“This is definitely a lovely, secluded spot, Very clean with plenty of room. Michelle was very good at communicating directions and checking in to see if our visit was going ok and if she could assist in anyway. We have family in the area so we didn't have to ask Michelle to do much of anyhing. We ended up leaving a day early due to an impending snow storm and our daughter having had an accident with our car. She was very understanding. If you do visit, 4 wheel drive is almost essential for the last leg of the driveway. There were plenty of pots and pans for cooking but we didn['t get to use them as our family wanted to host most of our meals. It is good to know that there is a plenty of glassware and dinnerware so meals could be enjoyed at the rental. Best Aspect: On clear nights, the stars are fantastic.”
This spacious studio apartment is located in the former Swedish Congregational Church in historic Swedeville, a secluded hilly neighborhood built by Swedish immigrants in the 1800's. For years it housed Rick and Liza’s stained glass studio, which they have now lovingly and creatively transformed into a residence. The rental is minutes from the interstate and one mile from downtown Brattleboro, but the neighborhood has a rural and somewhat European flavor to it.
“This was the perfect place for a creative retreat! Liza’s place is beautiful with so many thoughtful details- art, local recommendations, even a box of my favorite tea! Liza and Rick were gracious hosts -quick to answer any of my questions! I loved waking up to views of the garden and forest. With its location in walking distance of downtown and hiking trails, I could not have asked for anything more. I will definitely be back!”
