The first traces told about this old mill dating from the late 1500 and early 1600. Owned by the family Giaccai since 1920, the last handler was Scannerini Marino said "Rossino." The mill, located in the heart of Switzerland Pesciatina, is the only property to have intact the original tunnel made with the original Vellano’s stone, that connects the mill to the left side of the river Pescia. The building active until the early '50s, at the end of 2002 has been restored with great skill and intended for residential purposes in civil. It is composed of two apartments and a mansard, independent of each other. Each of the units is equipped with fireplace, built-in kitchen, terracotta-tiled floor and and ceilings with exposed beams. The bathrooms are completely renovated with modern standards, are endowed of showers and the mansard is endowed of jacuzzi . The green of the forest and the water flow of the river, make this place an oasis of relaxation in contact with the nature: a beautiful vien on Valleriana and a window into the past, to the discovery of an ancient world full of scents and flavors of the past. The furniture has been personally overseen by Tiberio Bartolini one of the owners, interior designers, also known at the international level, which this mill has wanted to do an emotion to share with any guests to discover a way of life.

The house is an ancient farmhouse of the eighteenth century, renovated with the desire to maintain the original characteristics as much as possible and has been owned by our family for about 150 years. It is located on the first hills of the Valdinievole and enjoys a superb view of the entire valley. In a strategic position to visit all of Tuscany: Montecatini Terme is located a few minutes away, half an hour from Lucca and Pistoia and Vinci; Florence, Pisa, Chianti and Versilia are less than an hour away.

The apartment is a self-contained section of the farmhouse, with its own entrance and all the necessary amenities. It is located in a rural area, surrounded by woods and hills, and offers a relaxing atmosphere in close contact with nature. The road to get there is a bit winding, but it's worth it! It is common to encounter insects and other animals typical of the countryside. The house, which dates back to around 1600, has been perfectly restored. Its very thick stone walls ensure that the temperature is optimal in winter and summer. In addition to the charm of the old house, it has the advantage of being located on the hill closest to the city center, Pistoia. For this reason, you can admire the view of the city from above. The historic center is only 3 km away. My house is therefore a great starting point for visiting nearby cities such as Prato, Florence and Lucca.

Data la sua posizione (casello A11), è ottimale per visitare città come Lucca, Firenze, Pisa, Montecatini, Pescia - Collodi, Pistoia, Viareggio - Torre del Lago Puccini, Pontedera (Museo Piaggio), Montecarlo, Lajatico (Bocelli), oltre a siti naturalistici come il Padule di Fucecchio e il lago di Sibolla. In Chiesina vi sono buoni ristoranti e negozi tipici.
