Cottage vacation rentals in Promised Land Lake

Garrett was very nice, easy to get ahold of, and accommodating. The house was clean, and easily fit the five of us girls traveling to celebrate our friend getting married. Overall, it was a great experience.

Allison’s cottage is a wonderful spot! My partner and I spent a very nice week there. Allison was so helpful, responsive, and detailed. Every room was pristinely clean, and nicely decorated. The hot tub was the highlight of our stay. The cabin is located close enough to attractions, restaurants, and stores, but still felt quiet and peaceful!

My boyfriend and I had an amazing weekend of relaxation! Everything was absolutely perfect! Catriona did a fantastic job with being super friendly and responsive. She made sure that the chapel was shoveled on the day we checked in and the day we checked out, due to the snow we had the evening before. Watching the snow fall from the hot tub on the deck was so romantic! We will definitely be spending a lot more weekends there! ❤️

Cozy, nice place to stay near Jim Thorpe! Overall we loved our stay. The place was clean and cozy, perfect for a family or small group. We loved the hot tub to relax, kitchen/living room space to spend time together, and convenient washer/dryer. The twin beds upstairs are better for children - the mattresses were not super comfortable, and the beds were a bit cramped, being so close to the sloped attic ceiling. The upstairs space would have been perfect for older kids to have their own, tucked-away play area. You may want to bring additional glassware (or plasticware) and towels. There were coffee mugs and glasses for one meal for ~5 people, but we were constantly washing them to use again. No shotglasses, in case you will need those. The house is st4ocked with many towels for the hot tub and shower (some tucked away in corners - keep looking!), but I found they would get soaked from one use because they were so thin.

The house was exactly as shown in the photos. Kids loved having their own room. Highly recommend for a family of 4 visiting the area.

place was just as pictured maybe even better. it was perfect for my group of 8 and everyone had their own bed. kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to cook for the weekend. we really enjoyed roasting marshmallows over the fire pit and relaxing in the hot tub. would definitely recommend to others and would stay again next time i visit the Poconos.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The house was adorable with everything you could want for a relaxing weekend away. We loved the hot tub and fire pit! The hosts included s'mores fixings and a bottle of wine..... Which was appreciated! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I cannot say enough about this home. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with beautiful views, this is the place for you. Hosts were extremely helpful & very quick to respond. We got lucky with beautiful weather and got to enjoy the lake but, stargazing in the jacuzzi at night was a perfect touch. We seriously loved every bit of this home and would love to return one day!! We had an amazing stay! The space was incredibly comfortable, with plenty of room for our group of four ladies, and we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. The beds were cozy, and the overall atmosphere was warm and inviting. We were easily able to make eggs, toast and coffee which we enjoyed in the super cute dining while listening to Carly Simon on the record player. What really made this stay special were Kristen's thoughtful recommendations. From fantastic local restaurants to hidden gems in the area, she provided us with all the insider tips, making our trip even more memorable. It was clear that she truly cares about her guests’ experiences, including around what to expect upon arrival. And she responded quickly when we reached to her with a question. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot to enjoy a ladies' weekend getaway, and we’d definitely return! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable stay with great local insights.

We had a perfect long weekend at Steven's cottage. It is bigger than it looks in the photos and was immaculately clean when we arrived. Steven was extremely responsive to all our questions and needs. The place is incredibly peaceful, a 2 min walk from the lake, on a private road where Steven owns all three houses. It was so relaxing and rejuvenating to spend time at this oasis with my partner and our best friends. There's a lot to love, but the best part is that the house comes with a private deck and dock, and unlimited access to various boats, to make your lake weekend whatever you want it to be. We loved that we could take our dogs to play fetch off the dock and not worry about getting in anyone's way or having to share any space. It was a great stay and we hope to go back!

I spent one and a half months here. The owners were always quickly responsive with messages. Nice little cottage and perfect space for one or two people. The walls were pretty thin and I was able to hear the neighbors but it wasn’t as loud in the living room when the bathroom door was closed. The owners kept up on snow removal on both the front and back porches.

This cozy little cottage was so much more than their pictures. We were enthralled by how large, yet cozy the family room was. Huge comfy couches. Perfect for relaxing and snuggling. The bedrooms were the perfect sized and decorated perfectly. The luxurious bathroom felt like it belonged in a 5 start hotel. Definitely stay here! You won't regret it!

Earl and Sara were beyond courteous. They had pleanty if recommendations for local fishing hot spots and other activities. Our vehicle broke down literally our last day staying in the cabin. Earl and Sara went far beyond what other renters have done to help my family and I. My family and I were stranded 7 hours away from home. They didnt even know us, but were incredibly supportive. We had a great time and are very grateful for their help.

We rented Helen's house for 3 months over the winter. The location is excellent, we walked to dinners and saw a few shows at the Opera house. Helen is a great communicator and host. Highly recommend staying at Helen's house.

This is our second visit to Camp Pocono Pines and it was even better than our first. We doubled our group size this go-round which made the experience even better. I loved the addition of the camp store, which wasn’t yet available the previous winter. I could imagine that as a great communal hangout during the summer months. Having a heating element in there would have made it useable during those chilly winter nights. We can’t wait for our next trip!

Karan was awesome helped with anything and everything I had questions about. Was very informative about the surrounding area and was very quick to answer. Would definitely come back here again next time!!

Martin could not have been more accommodating. He responded very quickly to my questions. His home was perfect for our needs. It had everything we needed . They had a welcoming gift basket and a welcoming note upon our arrival. I would definitely recommend to my family and friends. Thank you, Martin for opening your home to us.

We had a lovely, relaxing stay at the lake house. The interior felt welcoming and homey, and we enjoyed the peaceful setting of the lake house. There were nice views down to the lake, and we really liked the layout of the bedrooms which were separated nicely for privacy from each other, while being close enough for the kids. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of toiletries. The kids were delighted to climb the ladder to the loft and spent plenty of time up there. The kitchen was well stocked, with probably more pans and gadgets than we have at home. Appreciated the s'mores kit, which the kids toasted up. We enjoyed the outdoor fire, which had plenty of seating and a nice supply of wood. The highlight was definitely the time we spent on the lake. We got out in the pedal boat and kayaks. The kids enjoyed exploring a deserted island and watching some lake wildlife as we spent time on the water. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

My group and I had a lot of fun and tranquility in this beautiful cottage. If you’re an outdoor person, there are a ton of beautiful waterfalls and creeks that you can hike in the area along with the waterpark resort down the street which also was amazing. The cottage was clean, temperature controlled, and took care of every need that a group of five was looking for. I would recommend 1000%.

This was my second time back and the place was great! They recently updated the floors and bathroom and I had a comfortable stay. I enjoyed the rustic cabin feel. Great location, sitting by the creek is lovely, and close to town.

As soon as I walked into Thistle Dew Cottage, I felt at peace and at home. The cottage is cozy, quiet, and unpretentious. It is as close to the river as possible. We enjoyed seeing how the water flow changed throughout the day and birdwatching from inside the cottage: We saw 13 different species of birds during our stay. Everything was pristinely clean and well-maintained. We had all the furnishings necessary for cooking, relaxing, etc. This is a very special place, and I feel so fortunate that Janis and her family have opted to share it with others. It's one of my favorite Air BnBs I've ever stayed at, and I've already scheduled a second visit.

We had the most wonderful stay at this charming cottage! From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed and taken care of. The place itself is absolutely beautiful - cozy, stylish, and thoughtfully decorated, with a lovely touch of Christmas spirit. The attention to detail really stood out, with so many thoughtful extras that made our stay extra special. We were pleasantly surprised to find a basket of snacks, complimentary champagne and a fridge stocked with water, Coke, beer, and even hot chocolate and popcorn! These small touches made us feel right at home. The location was perfect for a peaceful getaway and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! We’ve already recommended this cottage to all our friends, and we can’t wait to come back for another stay in the future. Highly recommend!
