Mid Wales-farm house-sleeps 14-natural pool

HannaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We LOVED our stay here! The home is fabulous, so many spacious rooms to explore, each one decorated in a great way. The outdoor space is amazing, and was such a highlight of our stay, from the stunning countryside views, the lush pool, the immaculate sauna out building (a hot tub on the balcony or outside would be a cherry on top of a delicious cake). We also loved that the house was so well stocked in the kitchen and cupboards throughout the house, which made it easier and more enjoyable to just chill at the house. Everyone said that they're beds were super comfy too. The neighbours were very welcoming and helpful too, it was a lovely start to our stay meeting Les! It was easy to communicate with the host, and they messaged us 24 hours before check out to let us know we could check out later which was fab. Would definitely recommend staying here with a big group, plenty of space for everyone with a fab social dining table. Diolch yn fawr

Old Rectory House

VickyRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We stayed at Old Rectory house with a large group of friends and had the most wonderful long weekend. The house looks amazing in the pictures but was even more impressive in person. There was so much space available to us all from 8 double bedrooms, all with their own bathrooms, multiple sitting rooms, cinema room, games room, massive kitchen, swimming pool and hot tub. All of which is still nothing compared to fabulous views which we spent many hours admiring from the spacious terrace and garden. If this wasn’t already enough, Stuart and Sharon were the most caring hosts ensuring we had everything we could want before and during our stay, even our own piano performance! Thank you for letting us create unforgettable memories at Old Rectory, we can’t wait to stay with you again.

Country house in 5 Acres now with hot tub!

JohnRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Beautiful house in a lovely setting. As you'd expect, not a lot of entertainment immediately locally outside of the house other than walks (be warned footpaths are not maintained and impassible in places) but you don't book a place like this if you want hustle and bustle. Pool, hot tub and fire pit all great. Games room is in a separate building to the main house and so wasn't used as much as perhaps otherwise could have. Hosts are great and very welcoming, but they do live right next door which might not be everyone's cup of tea. It wasn't a big issue for us and we were left to our own devices. Spotlessly clean and well maintained. Hosts very accommodating if required and good communication šŸ‘

Elegant Home with Pool & Sauna near Golf Course

TristanRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Spacious and comfortable house for our family of 6 during a rainy February half term. The main reason to rent this place was the pool and sauna which didn’t disappoint and was great for our kids. There is a builder’s merchant right next door to the house which isn’t obvious from the photos but was not a particular problem with respect to noise etc. Lots of great walks nearby - which we will have to rediscover in the future in better weather! Thanks to Phoebe and the owners for making us feel welcome and for being available and responsive to our questions.

Vale Wild Cherry - Farm with stunning views

VivRating, 5 stars4 days ago
beautiful views and with the upside house layout it made the most of this. Working farm, but very quiet. Although you didn't feel you needed to tell children to be quiet all the time. Pool and hot tub were great additions, and my girls loved spending time in there. I possibly read the desciption wrong, but I hadn't realised before that the washing machine was shared and only available when the pool was. It worked for us and was fine, I just needed to be more organised! Danielle was very quick to respond to all messages and communicated really well with any info we needed. Lovely to meet her at the start to put a face to the name. Would definately recomend and hope to come again. Ideal to travel the half hour to the Hay festival!

MitchellRating, 5 stars7 months ago
I stayed here with 7 others for a chilled, relaxed night away from home and that’s what it proved to be! The heated pool was well used and an awesome feature in the cosy extension. Plenty of space to sleep everyone and had everything you needed. I stayed here with friends but I feel like it would also be perfect for a get away with the kids too. One thing that wasn’t advertised greatly was the view you get to experience in the morning, it’s stunning. Thanks for having us and helping us out with some fresh sausages and bacon in the morning!

Town centre Victorian period 3 bedroom home

AmyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a fabulous 3 night stay at Chloe's house in lovely Bishops Castle and are already planning to return. It's an ideally located property, perfectly proportioned with big bedrooms and having two bathrooms very much appreciated. Excellent showers with great water pressure. It's well appointed and comfortable - we all commented on how well we slept - and so conveniently situated. On street parking was no problem in the immediate vicinity and we enjoyed walks to Clun (super castle, river, pubs, and a v pretty village) and to the Powys Inn an easy 2.5 mile wander away. Evenings and dinners on the incredible terrace at the Castle Hotel with the best views you could imagine were a real highlight, and only a very short walk from the front door of the house. Chef's kiss to the whole wonderful weekend ā¤ļø

A spacious 5 bedroom house with stunning views.

HelenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a great stay at Claire’s place. Clean, well equipped, and roomy. The games room, hot tub and hammocks were all used and kept everyone entertained. The New Inn, the closest pub was booked so we went to the Coach and Horses and had a good lunch in the beer garden. Lovely walks from the property including the Beacons Way. We were spoilt by the sunny weather but I’m sure Claire’s place would be great whatever the weather.

Glandwr House - Rhayader

RosalindRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Great location for exploring beautiful mid Wales. Pool table and hot tub great additions. Layout of tall, narrow property takes some getting used to but actually works very well — everyone either in pool/dining room or living room or hot tub, so options for a large group. We were 12-13 people and that was roomy. NB I skipped this property in my initial search because it’s very odd to photograph the living spaces with people in them!!

Johns place was spotless and felt lovely and homely! Was a little disappointed that a neighbour complained that one of our cars was blocking their drive which it definitely wasn’t but John was lovely about it! I’d definitely recommend staying here and would definitely come back againā˜ŗļø

Bryn Gwyn

PetraRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We had a lovely stay at this beautiful, comfortable and quirky home in Wales. Thoughtfully furnished with plenty of space, it was perfect for our two big families. Despite the rainy weather, there was so much to do around the house, we made fires that made it cosy and Clare even offered to start before our arrival which was a lovely touch. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking big family meals — the only thing missing was a microwave, which may be helpful for some. The garden was neat and well maintained and the chickens were a real highlight for the kids, keeping them occupied. There were so many lovely books to browse (I ended up ordering a few of the cookbooks for myself!) and although we brought our own games, we found plenty more to borrow. The piano was also a big hit with the children. They especially loved sleeping all together in the attic room — it felt like a giant sleepover. All in all, a cosy and memorable stay in a special home. We’d happily return!

This was great for our rugby trip to Wales. We chose Pontneddfechan as we are actually from the nearby village of Cwmgwrach, but now live in the Lake District in Cumbria. 5 of us stayed here and were very happy with the location, in close proximity of everything we needed. We do this trip every 2 years. so hopefully see you again then . thank you

Selfcontained 4 bed detached house parking gardens

BiancaRating, 5 stars3 days ago
This house suited our needs perfectly. We were here for three nights and travelled to see the four waterfalls walk which was absolutely stunning. We also walked up the mountain behind the house to The Lonely Shepherd. It’s a hard working trek but stunning scenery. We all slept well and enjoyed feeling at home here. Victoria was a great friendly host and communicated promptly.

The Glass House, Llangorse Lake, Brecon Beacons

ConnorRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Came here for my wife’s birthday weekend. Started with just us, the dog and the baby which the place was perfect for a little family break but for the last 2 nights a family member had the baby and our friends arrived and we had a great time in the hot tub, at the local pubs and walking and boating in the lake. The place was gorgeous and we had to perfect weather to make use of the spacious garden and bbq. Couldn’t fault the place, we met Deri’s mother Marg and the two farm dogs Max and Jess and they couldn’t have been friendlier. Couldn’t have been happier and we will hopefully be back!
