Vacation rentals with breakfast in Porto District

This was a dream vacation - we had just moved to Portugal and spent 2 weeks getting setup. We wanted a quiet week as a family to rest before school started. This place was perfect: perched on a mountainside in the middle of vines, the space was quiet, peaceful and beautifully designed and appointed. Paulo, the husband, is an architect who refurbishes vintage designer furniture. Teyna, the wife, is an amazing chef. Her breakfasts (included) we delicious and the dinners they offer in their adjoining restaurant and well crafted and tasty. Their place is pet friendly - we brought our dog, and they have a dog, two cats and two birds. We did outings to Porto, nearby Roman ruins, historic villages and swam in the rivers running through them. It was delightful.

Nuno’s place exceeded our expectations. It has a beautiful balcony with a view over the Douro river. The pool area is peaceful and breakfast provided was an added bonus. Nuno was very helpful and provided us with great recommendations for wine tasting and spots to visit. The apartment is spacious, clean and has a small kitchen which we were able to use to cook in the evenings.

Paulo and Isabel are the sweetest couple. So welcoming. You stay in a separate building on their property that has a killer view of the Douro Valley. Walking distance to the nearest town. Close to most of the major vineyards but it is so beautiful you will not want to leave! Very comfortable bed. Great inside and outside sitting areas to watch the boats go by and admire the mountains and vineyards. Paulo gives you lots of food for breakfast, more than we could eat so we had lunch as well. We both felt that this was one of the best places we stayed while in Portugal.

Everything was perfect. The host is very kind and attentive. We felt very comfortable and the house is as described and cozy. We were very happy. We would definitely come back.

The place is lovely, with all the comforts of modern life, but with the moth of an old conserved farmhouse. The attention to detail is immense - the decoration, the comfort of the bed, the wonderful and complete breakfast. Although the dining and pool spaces are common I never felt it was a problem - there was always space and the spirit of the guests was to “not disturb and not be disturbed”. Hosts are extremely friendly, prompt, and kind. You couldn't have made a better choice, you just want to come back soon.

The stay here was just perfect. Great location. Walking distance to most places. Transit stops nearby. The place was fantastic. Felt like home away from home. Fridge was stocked with breakfast items. Lots of appliances and kitchware to suit all your needs if you wanted to make your meals yourself. I just loved staying here. Ana was a fantastic host. Very responsive to all communications. Always very thorough with replies. Parking is convenient close by. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. For me it was perfect all around.

The apartment is exactly as described. We had the apartment on the 3rd floor and the early morning view of Porto is priceless. Lots of restaurants nearby. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived.

Beautiful apartment for 2 people. Nice simple breakfast provided each day. Small well-stocked kitchen area. Nice sized bathroom. Very clean and the owner was responsive and easy to communicate with. Walls are thin, so you can hear everyone next door, but there were ear plugs provided, which was very thoughtful. The balcony was small, but had a wonderful view of the river - amazing at night! Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay with Jean and Luz. The apartment is beautiful, lovely decor and furnishings and is meticulously looked after and cleaned. The area is great. Many shops and restaurants very close, plus an easy walk to the historic district of Porto. Jean offered to assist us with restaurants and activities. I took him up on this & actually contacted him a couple nights before we checked in at his place. He made recommendations and set us up for dinner and show reservations - way beyond what I expected. When we arrived, he showed us around the neighborhood and walked through the area with us on a map. Both Jean and his wife Luz are great hosts! We'll be back!

Great stay at Marta's place

I've traveled through many cities, stayed in many hotels and inns; I've seen and felt it's genuine attention but never bought to such warm attention as Candida and Diago. I was amazed by the simple and beautiful decoration, with the clean and neatness of all the spaces. I think Diago ( the multifaceted manager) is a magician, he has a gift that God has given him and that gift has known to use pera to serve guests. Yes I ever return to Espinho I won't hesitate to stay in this lovely place. Ame every second I was here. Thank you for all the attention…

Really enjoyed the hostel and would stay again. It was focused around the surfing in the morning which was great, Marco is a great teacher and you get plenty of time on the waves. Raquel is a lovely host and the food is excellent, there's a bit of a lack of local things to do and places to eat within walking distance but the nearest city isn't too far if you want to explore in the afternoons/evenings. Would totally reccomend the hostel to anyone wanting to learn how to surf, many thanks : )

There are very few places that can live up to the moniker of a truly special location. It take a rare blend of a thoughtful beautiful space, impeccable service, and genuine/ super friendly hosts. My only regret about writing this review is that I am sure once people discover this gem I will find it very difficult to find an available opening again as it is sure to be in high demand. Enrico and his entire family are the perfect hosts, the included simple breakfast of fresh bread, yogurt, fruit and assorted cheese is such a nice treat to wake up to every morning and partake in their amazing Dining Room. I can't recommend highly enough trying their tasting dinner in the evening, as Enrico apparently is a 1 start rated Michelin Chef and the food is amazing. Even if you don't book a room to stay in you should go to the restaurant one evening if you are in Porto. My room was spotless, very comfortable and beautifully laid out. Super Comfortable Bed as well. This place is special.
