“Hilltop Hideaway is indeed a "hideaway;" quiet and relaxing with beautifully maintained grounds. A wonderful place to recharge and conveniently close to Port Townsend for shopping and dining. There is also the option of staying in and cooking, though we didn't, but it seemed everything needed for light cooking was provided. The inside space is comfortable and inviting, and the outdoor area is peaceful and park-like. The rental itself was immaculately clean as it was on my first stay. I plan to rent here again. The hostess, Linda, is thoughtful and accommodating but not intrusive. It's lovely to have a relaxing place to come back to after a busy day shopping.”

“My wife and I spent a night in Port Townsend on our way to the San Juan Islands, and we could not have picked a better place to stay than at Claude and Barbara’s guest suite. Everything about our stay was perfect. The suite had its own private entrance and was the perfect size for the two of us. We loved how it was decorated and the bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve slept in. Claude and Barbara’s backyard which is just outside the guest suite entrance is absolutely stunning - we spent most of our morning the next day admiring the beautiful flowers. The house is located just an 8-minute walk from the downtown area, and Claude gave us great suggestions for dinner and drinks in town. They are also just a few blocks away from the beach, but unfortunately we didn’t have time to visit. Our favorite part of the stay was getting to know Claude and Barbara. They are such kind and warm individuals, and the best Airbnb hosts that I’ve personally interacted with. If their suite is available when you are visiting Port Townsend, do yourself a favor and book with them - you won’t be disappointed. I know that we will certainly be back again in the future.”
Tranquil room in Strawbale house located on the outskirts of picturesque Port Townsend approximately 30-40 minutes walk from historic downtown. We live on 3/4 acre with views of Mt. Baker, Mt. Rainer (on a clear day) and Port Townsend Bay. Although we are in the city limits, we feel as though we are out in the country! We are still a work in progress, so you may see some of our unfinished projects. IF THIS LISTING IS BOOKED WE HAVE ANOTHER LISTING: SUMPTUOUS ROOM IN STRAWBALE HOUSE.
“This place is thoughtfully built with a warm and creative character, organic feel and we felt right at home. Our room was very cosy and provided us with incredible sleep. In the morning we had coffee and muesli and a good chat with Sheryl before we hit the road. Can't recommend this place enough!”
