Who are we? We are a group of friends from Mexico, Canada, and the UK. We love our 2 palapas in Puerto Escondido and we’d like to share them with others while we are away (and to look after our plants 😉). As artists and wellness enthusiasts, we have found that the palapas are the best spots to get creative juices going, detach [a bit] from technology, heal, and even video record a podcast or a yoga class. Surrounded by greenery, the cenote-type pool offers a perfect space to relax and connect with nature in complete privacy.

Casa Serena is a very warm and cozy house, independent and with a gallery to enjoy the outside and views of the garden full of palm trees and flowers. It is located two blocks from the beach, right between Zicatela and La Punta, one of the favorite beaches for our visitors. It is a bright and quiet space, where you will find peace. Marea Yoga Studio works on the terrace, which gives a plus to all the guests who enjoy yoga and the good life.

Casa VO Cutting-edge architecture

The idea behind the project of Casa VO consists of inverting the traditional model of a house with a garden and transform it into a garden with a house. Casa VO proposes to remove everything that is unnecessary (finishes, doors, windows) and keep only the essentials for this project (V-slab, adjoining walls, mezzanine, and front gate), allowing a larger and more generous space to achieve the main idea of the project: “Garden with a House”
