Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Platanias

We really enjoyed our stay at this vacation home. The location is quiet and offers a great view of the sea – perfect for unwinding. The house is tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you need. The landlords were friendly and helpful and made the stay pleasant. All in all, a nice house for a relaxing beach vacation.

Our family had the best time at Olive Garden. Myself, my wife and our two children (1 and 7) loved every element of the stay. It was an easy walk to wonderful restaurants, had beautiful sea and mountain views and the pool was perfect for entertaining two little ones. The location was brilliant in that it was close by to Chania airport but also provided easy accessibility to stunning beaches. The accommodation itself was immaculate and had everything we needed inside to entertain our children. Beds and sofas were very comfortable and Ioanna as a host was INCREDIBLE. She answered any questions we had quickly and made our stay even more welcoming.

Such a beautiful spacious home! ❤️ Exactly as described, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The hosts are responsive and always happy to answer any questions we had. Alexia also visited and bought some delicious pastries and eggs which we really appreciated. We were also welcomed with a basket of local snacks which was perfect after a long day of travelling🥰 Not as easy to walk into the old town as I thought as the streets nearby don’t have pavements (my fault for not checking beforehand) however it is only a 10 minute drive to the port. So many beautiful beaches to explore (our favourite was Balos, especially if you like animals as there are lots of wild goats🐐) Also lots of delicious restaurants everywhere, our favourites were Almyriki on Stavros beach and Patrelantonis on Marathi Beach 🌊 We couldn’t have asked for a better holiday and would love to visit the Violin House again in future Thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️

The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. The place was super clean and everything well maintained. Just felt right at home with an amazing view, great beds and a beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommend!

This place was a good choice for a long-term stay. Basic recreation is right nearby - just a few hundred meters away, there are hiking trails with beautiful views, surrounded by olive and orange groves. It’s also a great base for exploring western Crete in general. The house has everything you need if you enjoy cooking at home, but there are also some really nice restaurants nearby that serve tasty, home-style food. The host is super friendly and respectful of your privacy, which made the stay even more comfortable.

Our stay in the apartment was perfect. The place was clean and had all the amenities listed online. We were able to park near the apartment which meant we could explore all of the local beaches and visit the old town. The apartment was located 10m from the beach, ideal for a early morning swim. We would love to stay at Georgia's place again :)

Absolutely loved this airbnb. Small deck overlooking the Chania Bay lighthouse and all the restaurants surrounding the bay. Airbnb at end and had a great restaurant (with blue chairs) that had great food. Beds were comfortable and back bedroom was very quiet as well. The owner met us at check-in and explained everything. Top deck was very nice to sit, my husband actually pulled out his laptop and worked on the table for awhile. He was in heaven. But we enjoyed sitting on small deck off living space too. Husband and myself w our two young adult children loved that we were so close to everything. Do not hesitate to book this airbnb.

Sofia's place was excellent. It was quiet and relaxing with really nice views over the valley. She stocked the place with everything we could need to start the trip, including some fresh fruit from the area. She was easy to communicate with and very friendly. I'd highly recommend this location for anyone who wants a quiet place to explore the area for a few days.

What a gem! The location is right at the harbor with a nice balcony overlooking the square. It’s the perfect location to enjoy the scenery, walk to many historic sights, wander through the streets of the Old Town, and countless restaurants. It’s also walking distance to the main bus station. The rooms are as beautiful as the photos show and you can see Iosif has taken time to create a comfortable and tastefully decorated place for guests. Fully equipped and the host kindly left us fruit, cookies, and a local wine. Iosif is great with communicating the check in instructions (with photos) and answering all questions. Highly recommend you stay here!

We loved our stay at Elina’s place and could not recommend it enough. It is by far the best equipped Airbnb with have stayed in, with plenty of amenities (and space!) for cooking. If you hire a car, on street parking was readily available, which allowed us to go a bit further afield. Elina’s recommendations and personal touches (fresh oranges and Cretan pies) really made our holiday. It is a well located apartment and easy to get to anywhere you want to be in Chania.

Beautiful place and great host

We had a lovely stay here! The host and family were so friendly and helpful! We had home baked treats waiting when we arrived and fruit and water in the refrigerator. Beautiful deck with great view of the sea and beach just across the street-a 2 minute walk. Many great restaurants nearby and grocery store just down the stairs. We didn’t want to leave!

Such a phenomenal place! We stayed here as a group of five and it was so reasonably priced. AMAZING views, you are literally right against the water. Gorgeous, clean space. Easy 15 minute walk into Old Town. Host was amazing, she helped us call a taxi when we needed and gave us lots of recommendations. Stay here!!!

We had a wonderful stay here. The apartment is perfect for 4 people, it has everything you need for a vacation. Twice during the week we got a general cleaning and bed sheet, towel change. The check in and out went quickly and easy, the personal was very kind and welcoming. The apartment has it’s private beach with nice sunbeds, which was a big plus for us even if we were constantly on the road , we could drank our morning coffee on the beach, and went for a sunset swim everyday. The location is also good, lot’s of excellent restaurants are near by. It was a wonderful experience, I truly recommend.

Loved our stay here! The location is great. There is a view of the water and it’s very close walking distance to old town. Parking was really very close. It was usually pretty full, but we always found a spot.

We had a lovely but short stay at Valia’s very spacious apartment for our family of 5. The wrap around balcony was a treat and the rooms stayed cold and dark to allow us to sleep off our jet lag. Nice and close to old town Chania and lots of spots nearby for coffee/wine and pastry!

The places is perfect.

This Airbnb is just like the photos and worth the distance from Old Town (about 0.4 miles). The terrace wraps around the entire flat and has many seating options in sunshine and in shade. It’s surrounded by beautiful, well-cared for plants with a stunning view of the Sea of Crete and of Chania itself. You can take the stairs or there is an elevator. The hostess left some local treats for us as well as a lovely bouquet of flowers! Absolutely top notch! There is also air conditioning if the fresh air is too warm. The hostess was friendly and responsive. This was the best of 4 Airbnb’s we stayed in throughout Europe. The only thing to note is that the electricity is only on when the card is in the holder by the door. So, if you leave with the dryer or dishwasher running or charging devices, they will pause until you return.

The apartment was great and comfortable. know you have to walk up stairs to get to it. Was private and cute. Walking distance to lots of shops and food. Best part was the patio and view. Loved this place.

This apartment has it all! Walkable to New Chora beach and Old Town, quiet neighborhood with a park one block away, and a gorgeous interior. We enjoyed breakfast on the balcony and a quiet evening in the rooftop terrace. The entire place was spotless and beautifully furnished. Finally, Aggelos was a perfect host. He was very responsive to anything we needed and went out of his way to make our stay extra special for our anniversary. We hope we can come stay again someday!
