House vacation rentals in Placencia

We loved this place. The view is spectacular. Only small suggestion I would say is to put a little refrigerator in the casita side for cold waters and small items. Thank you for a wonderful week.

All I have to say is...PERFECTION!!! We've been renting airbnb's for over 10 years and this has been the best yet. Great location, well taken care of, clean, responsive friendly hosts, great amenities and the most well stocked place I've experienced. I can't say enough great things about this place.

Phil's place is a great location for exploring Belize without the tourists! Centrally located in the southern part of the country, it was within an hour of great little villages like Placencia, Dangriga and Hopkins, as well as the mountains and cayes for hiking, zip lining, snorkeling, caving...you name it. It's off the beaten path, nestled in a reserve so be prepared for driving on dirt roads to get there, but hey, it's Belize, so that's common and you'll get used to it. We drove from Belize City so didn't take up Phil's offer to rent his personal Jeep, but you'll definitely need an SUV (that's all rental companies provide anyway). It's a good place to stay if you are allergic to tourists and want a nice quiet, peaceful home with all the amenities....but close enough to drive in for dinner or drinks with expats or tourists if you get lonely. Phil's house was super clean, safe, beautiful, comfortable and well provisioned. We stayed with our two teenage boys who loved the pool and the beach club with access to the ocean, paddle boards and kayaks. We had it to ourselves most days! There is no cable TV (which we loved) but Phil's got the most amazing collection of movies (1,000+) so you won't be bored (movie night was every night!). Since it's a bit remote, you likely won't be going out to eat every day, so stop by a grocery store in any of the towns on the way in or the surprisingly well-stocked store on the community, including a case of Belikin beer in a returnable crate (THE beer of Belize).

We had a great time in Placencia. The place was perfect for our needs - spacious, comfy, clean linens, and had all the amenities we needed. It was nice to walk to the resort and have access to the pool and restaurant. Vincent was responsive and checked in with us throughout our stay to make sure we had what we needed and to make recommendations. The house is a short drive to restaurants and grocery stores. Overall a great stay in Belize!

Great property with many options for multiple families/groups. We had a group of 18 and rented 3 houses, all just steps away from each other. The space has a perfectly small pool, nice deck area, and is so quiet. It was clean and looked exactly like the photos. We did not get daily maid service and every house in our group ran out of necessities (toilet paper). The water from the faucet is drinkable and the toilets can take toilet paper. The showers don't get super hot, but are soothing with hot weather. TV/wifi was easy to navigate and Beth was extremely responsive. The kitchen does not come stocked with any food/spices. Pick up salt,pepper, butter, oil if you intend to cook. I highly recommend you ask for a cook for some meals. A breakfast fed 16 people and was $150 usd (and delicious). Rent a golf cart & pay to have it dropped off and picked up. Lots of fun to be had in this house!

Wonderful place, easy access to lagoon and restaurants in Placencia. Great coffee and juice shop and massage was wonderful on site.

We had a beautiful time. Everything was just as described, sitting on the terrace listening to the waves was so delightful. Herbert was extremely responsive and very helpful—not that we needed anything from him! It was a great experience.

Perfect beachfront spot on Maya Beach. One of the best Air BnBs we've ever stayed in.

This is a perfect location. Close to local restaurants and accessible to a lot of things to do. Outstanding views and sits right on the beach. Perfect place to watch the beautiful sun rises. We had three couples and this location was an excellent fit. Herbert was an excellent host and had plenty of great recommendations.

Great spot! We loved the beachfront location and the interior of the home is beautiful. Good spot for a family or group of friends. Easy drive into downtown.

The house was great. We were 3 adults and 4 kids. Had plenty of space and it was very clean. Pools and grounds were well maintained. Beth and Johan were super responsive and provided recommendations for tour companies, restaurants, and other local things (were to rent fishing poles for the kids so they could fish off the dock). I had some concerns about being so close to the airport, but didn't even notice the planes most of the time. Will definitely stay there again!

we loved our stay private and gorgeous sunset views. Quiet location but walkable to many restaurants beaches etc. well equipped to stay in for meals if you choose. we loved our stay here and would definitely come back.

We left a previous Airbnb because the pictures were not what was described. They were gracious and very accommodating about our timing, and were immediately responsive when things in the surrounding area (out of their control) came up. The place was beautiful, clean & very spacious. Having a washer and dryer was definite plus. I have already sent their Airbnb link out to someone interested in visiting Placencia. Would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay! it's a little far from town but that's what we wanted. private beach, wonderfully home and super peaceful! There are a few reviews out there that speak otherwise but it's paradise! seriously for Belize this place is great! I would rebook without question!

This place was great. Stayed with 7 people, three kids under 7 and four adults, two different families. The set up was great for that since we rented out two levels and so families could be separate. The houses both have heat pumps so can cool the house. The downstairs does not have one in each room so having a fan on will help cool it down. Being right on the beach was great and the water is shallow so kids could play easily and not worry about them. there is a lot of seaweed which is to be expected at points, but if you walk out like 4 feet into the water there is no debris and fine. Having access to the dock is amazing as well as kind of like a separate area where you can feel secluded. We also went on a boat ride and fished and snorkeled some which was great as just took the boat from the dock so did not need to go into town. Grocery is like 10-15 minutes away that is bigger and has everything you need and one like 5-10 that has most stuff you would need. Placencia is like 30 min.

Great location, very private, you will need transportation to explore the island to and from the local economy. This location does not have a washer and dryer, bring enough clothes to last for duration. I would use and recommend this property.

House was great and service was good pool got cloudy and property manager had somebody there quick.

Loved staying here at this place! Able to walk across the road to the beach/restaurant. Loved having kid friendly kitchen wares and games. One unexpected thing was no hot water, I did not read that it had or didn't have. I just assumed it would but it wasn't a big deal as the pipe water is fairly warm from the day. Overall though we would definitely stay again. Thank you so much!

White Sands Beach House was exactly as advertised. Minimalistic modern aesthetic which was perfect for us. The pool and ocean were perfect and the beds are extremely comfortable. We could of used a few more large drinking glasses as there were only 4 so we were constantly washing them. The only thing I can think to say about this property is I wish I owned it! Superb! Chef’s Kiss!
