We spent the autumn holidays with our large family in the beautiful villa above Stresa. The house is super clean, very well equipped, lovingly furnished and the view from all rooms is breathtaking! There is heat in the house which was necessary in October. The access to the house is sometimes very narrow.

The only thing that did not meet our expectations for this standard was the arrival: we were on site on time at the agreed time and were received by Alberto. The house was dark and very cold, the shops were all closed and the ordered baby bed was unbuilt for us and left without bedding. The beds were all without duvets and only stocked with thin lacquers. Because of the cold temperatures, the thin paints were not sufficient. Duvet covers were only brought to us after 3 days. That was a shame and didn't meet our expectations.

First of all, this could have been a shack on a hill and it would still be one of the most amazing places I've ever been. The views are simply insane, there's really no way to describe it and the photos don't even do it justice. This house is on the highest hill in the immediate area and the views are literally breathtaking from every window, door and angle. The house itself is also beautiful, hundreds of years old and in very good shape. The elevator was a life saver for the grandparents and a true unique benefit of this house, on top of everything else. Even though we were very late in the season, the pool remained open for us to enjoy. The hosting staff were all amazing, helped with planning day trips for the entire group and connected us with amazing vendors in the area. Highly recommended, and we hope to visit again in the future!

Very large house, quite old and rustic but with a lot of space for groups (there were 10 of us), some renovations would not hurt (noise from the toilet) but the location and the setting (the lake view) are exceptional. Quick and easy contact with the landlord. On the other hand, a big downside on the cash deposit, 750 euros which should normally be returned at the end. At the beginning of the stay, the renter tells us that the heating is set at 20 degrees and that if we want to increase it, there is an additional fee. This can be heard, but we have NEVER increased it and at the end of the stay, it tells us that 50 euros will be withheld from the security deposit for heating. 50 euros for 3 days when we did not use it, I consider it to be a disguised theft. No more or less.

A truly magical stay. We had our wedding here and the property was amazing! The host and onsite help was amazing. Communication is great and the place is breath taking. We loved it
