We loved the cabin. Everything we needed was there from bathroom soaps to linens and cooking supplies plus coffee. The surroundings were amazing and so quiet. It really was a wonderful spot for a quiet get away. But we were also glad for the excellent wifi so we could keep up with our favorite college football teams.

The trails connect right by the cabin. Easy to access and well marked. We loved running at Camp Chet.

This was my 7th trip here I believe and it’s wonderful every time. I’ll be back in 4 weeks! And can’t wait.

Robert was very friendly and responsive to questions. His property is beautiful and very well managed and maintained. It’s just under a 30 min to Savage Gulf East Trailhead. There is cell coverage with Verizon and AT&T. My family and I will likely be back to explore more of his trails and property. We saw and heard lots of wildlife including deer and a screech owl that paid us a visit each night.

This place was exactly what the Robert and Ruth have envisioned, a peaceful getaway to connect with nature and God. The tiny cabin was perfect for my husband and I and two young boys. It was stocked with plenty of blankets and lanterns, bug spray. The porta-potty (I know not glamorous!) was pristine! The area was peaceful! We were not the best with our communication of time but our hosts were gracious and flexible! They drove us to our site to make sure we made it safe and didn’t get lost. They were very clear about needing a good car for rough terrain and they were right. Thankfully we had no issues.
Definitely do the ATV tour! Robert showed us all the trails and the whole property with all the history! It was much more than we could discover in two days and with small kids, so the tour was a great way to see everything!
This was the perfect off the grid get away for a weekend!
