Cabin vacation rentals in Östergötland County

It’s hard to express just how much of a fantastic time my partner and I had at this stunning cottage in the Swedish countryside. The outdoor greenhouse was perfect for a romantic candlelit dinner and the hot tub was wonderful underneath the stars in peaceful surroundings. Nils left us a useful guidebook containing a wealth of information for local walks, hikes, activities and recommended restaurants, complete with clear instructions for navigation. We enjoyed a beautiful local nature reserve based on this. Two electric bikes were available for our use - this was a lovely touch which would enhance any stay. We travelled here primarily as it is within a 40 minute drive of Kolmården, which is probably the world’s best wildlife park and zoo, featuring one of the world’s highest ranked RMC rollercoasters. It’s also easy to reach this place from Stockholm via train to Nyköping, before a 10 minute drive to the property. A 10/10 Airbnb which we look forward to returning to in the future.

We enjoyed our stay at Kathy’s converted barn. It is in a very convenient location, just off the main road down a small lane, at the end of which is a petrol station and supermarket. It is only a short stroll into the pretty centre where you can find historical sights of interest, pretty streets , independent shops and a variety of restaurants. Kathy has taken great care in ensuring the barn is comfortable and clean, ensuring her guests have all they will need for their stay. The bed is comfortable and she provides good quality linens and towels. The hot tub was immaculate and a real treat, as was the cava and chocolates that were part of our welcome package. Kathy’s attention to detail makes this accommodation stand apart from others. Thank you Kathy.

Cozy cottage that has everything you need except TV, but that was stated in the listing.

The gas bottle for the grill was empty, but it was resolved by us going to a gas station and buying one and the host paid for it, so it was okay. Guess it was the guests before us who ran out of gas without notifying the host.

we had four wonderful nights at Christina's place. The Airbnb is nicely furnished and you have everything you need. We immediately felt comfortable and also used the jacuzzi. After the hike, this did very well. You have many excursion options and also to the sea it is not far on foot. We will be happy to come back and highly recommend Christina. She was very helpful and was quick to help us with any questions. thank you for everything :)

Very nice, small house directly on the lake. From the conservatory you have a great view. Niclas was very friendly and helpful. We will be happy to come back!

We were very kindly welcomed by Hans-Olov. A clear explanation was given about the house and accessories. It is a super cozy cottage in a beautiful setting. The bed was comfortable and we loved the jacuzzi. We stayed here for two nights, but as far as we are concerned, it could have been two weeks. Hans-Olov, thank you for the hospitality. Quiet, peaceful, end-of-the-road with a fantastic view, yet a few minutes drive to shops, restaurants, and the ferry to Visingso! And then a nicely-furnished, well-appointed, spacious home, with a responsive host, all at a reasonable price. It doesn't get any better than this place and host!

This is a very special place: well outfitted cabin, beautiful view, great location. Susanne is a great host too. Will never forget my time there.

We had a great stay. Contact with Genet was quick and smooth. The little house was nice. Maybe a little high price but on the other hand very sweet and good that coffee/tea and cleaning is included. Quiet area with walking distance to the center.

We spent an awesome time at Annika's house. We really enjoyed the quiet of this place, lost in the forest. Annika is a really kind person and the communication is perfect!

Perfect Cottage for our stay

Beautiful cottage right on a lake, very quiet with a big garden! It was very nice to have our own boat. The house is very comfortable, very clean and has everything you possibly need. Susanne and Anders are wonderful hosts, very friendly and responsive. We had a wonderful and relaxed time!

A gem in the archipelago of Östergötland, just a stones throw from the beach. Perfect location and house for families, I can really recommend this accomodation!

Very nice cabin and host. Would be great if there was some type of lighting on the forest road into the cabin as it is very dark this time of year.

I had a lovely stay in Gullringen! The surroundings are really beautiful and the cottage is clean, tidy, cozy and equipped with all the packaging. And indeed as pink as the photos suggest! The contact with Madeleine was very nice - she is a very helpful host and even picked me up from the bus stop. Absolutely worth it!

Nice place to stay in an older environment. The hosts were very nice and the house very cozy. A plus is the sauna in the house. One disadvantage is that it is a bit low to the ceiling in different places in the house. The house is close to Mallboden and Motala workshop, which is a nice place with walking distance to the city center.

Our stay at Lisa's house was great. The cottage is very nicely furnished, it has everything you need and is spotlessly clean. Our favorite place was the hammock on the terrace. You can pick berries right at your doorstep. We followed Lisa's excursion tips and spent several days on the coast or on the archipelago islands. A beautiful area! We can fully recommend the place and would have liked to have stayed longer.
