Family-friendly vacation rentals in Orkdal

Our family of five had an amazing time at this cabin! The views were amazing, the hikes were fun, the hot tub was wonderful, the kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfortable, and the living room was perfectly cozy. We loved our time in Norway!

This was the second time we visited Jote and Solveig. The house left nothing to be desired and the surroundings and the holiday home are simply unique. Our main activities were hiking and we did these near the house in all directions. This year we were even able to observe herds of reindeer. A little further away, the Dovre Fjell in the direction of Reinheim is recommended, also in conjunction with an overnight stay in the self-service hut for an additional deposit if you want to climb the Snöhetta there. The musk oxen can also be seen here from time to time. Communication with the host is excellent and check-in was unproblematic. The "HYTTE" is very close to the water and you can enjoy the sunset from the terrace. The generously designed house has everything you need for a stay. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom well divided. The hot tub is ready for a relaxing bath. There is also a charging station for electric vehicles nearby. You can go hiking in the nearby as well as excursions to sights. It's a little further to Trondheim - you should keep that in mind.

Very nice place! Wonderful location and a very helpful and friendly host. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops in the neighborhood. Walkable to all tourist attractions in the city.

I had the pleasure of staying in Sophia’s beautiful apartment in Trondheim, and it was an absolute delight. The space is not only cute and cozy but also thoughtfully designed and well-maintained. The apartment’s location is convenient, and it felt like home from the moment I arrived. I highly recommend renting from Sophia if you’re looking for a great place to stay in Trondheim. Suggestion: one more bright lamp for long hour studies 😊

Lovely small flat, in a quiet nice neighbourhood. Easy walking distance into town. Communication was fast and easy. The place was clean, the bed comfortable and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Great place in the middle of the nature. We saw a deer in the backyard and beavers in the river right behind our house. Directly from the attractively furnished house you can walk along the beautiful river and by car you are quickly at the hotspots of Trollheimen or the cozy coffee house a few kilometers away. Steinar is great host.

Stayed at this beautiful place for a month. Wow, a veranda on 2 sides, 1 of which facing the lake. Windows from the living room give very nice views over the mountains and the lake and the cabin has a huge cozy, warm look. It didn't get dark at night, enjoyed the beautiful skies (rose - purple - orange), the never-sighted couple playing at night in the lake and talking to each other, the ducks, neighbor cat staring at us on a rock and the other cat who liked to walk along, seen several deer - with little ones, and so many birds seen and heard. The fireplace was blissful, kitchen spacious, nice bedroom, blissful sofa to look out. Ingunn is great host. She also helped me a lot with tips for my 2 month trip. And super easily accessible. Thank you Ingunn for everything! I enjoyed it.

Very nice cabin with beautiful surroundings.

Lars Kjetil's cabin is small but has everything you need. Very comfortable large bed, heating floor in the bathroom. The cabin is close to the sea. Location is especially suitable for those of you who come by car. A bit limited to pedestrians, the nearest shop is 14 km away.

We had a wonderful stay at Mia‘s house. It is a very special place and felt like home. Mia and family were great hosts.

Such a beautiful home! We felt very fortunate to stay here. The location is excellent - an easy walk to the waterfront, Nidaros Cathedral, and public transport. We felt we were able to make the most of our time in Trondheim in this lovely place. Thank you!

Nice house to visit Trondheim, not close to the center but I really liked that tranquility. House has all the comforts and very comfortable and nicely decorated. Good tips for eateries nearby, e.g. Klipper Kafe very tasty and nice to take a walk.

Nice and clean apartment in tranquil surroundings. Close to Bymarka with hiking opportunities and short distance to bus stop.

We had a great vacation at Marius's place. The house is impeccable practical very well-decorated very nice. We enjoyed the terrace there are all the necessary amenities There are buses nearby to get to the city center and a supermarket 10 minutes from the house on foot. Marius is very friendly, and the communication was clear and fluid Thank you ☺️

My mom stayed at this beautiful apartment by the fjord when she came to attend my PhD thesis defense. She enjoyed her stay and the view from the terrace. The apartment is very well connected by bus and has great places to walk to nearby. The botanic garden was a great discovery. The apartment has few personal decorations from Ole and his family, which make the place cozy but might remind the guests a bit that they are in someone else's house. Not an issue at all. Ole handed out the key in person and was very friendly abd helpful. They even left a cute book introducing the Norwegian culture to visitors. Highly recommended!
