The paddle will last about 2 to 2.5 hours depending on the speed of our group and any wildlife we may see along the way. We will be sure to take plenty of pictures and give some awesome unique facts about the area on our several picturesque stopping points! There will even be a couple chances for you to get out and enjoy the refreshing Spring water! The first half of the paddle will be upstream towards the headspring of Rock Springs (a slight workout, but don't worry we take breaks) and the second half will be a gentle coast back to our launch point. Be ready for lots of great local nature and wildlife along the way! Other things to note The $10 per boat launch fee is included in the price. Named for its crystal clear water, the Emerald Cut section of Rock Springs Run winds through sections of lush jungle-like nature, breathtaking emerald water and sandy bottom beneath your paddle as you explore this tropical oasis in in the middle of Central Florida. Rock Springs Run is one of two designated Wild and Scenic Rivers in the state of Florida, part of the complex ecological system of the Wekiva River Basin. This spring fed river supports a myriad of bird and wildlife watching opportunities to include river otters, deer, turtles and maybe even an alligator along the way. The first half of the tour we begin paddling upstream against the current, paddling over and under trees and through the twists and turns of the river until we reach the bridge at Kelly Park. The second half of the tour, we will sit back and go with the flow as the current takes us back to the launch point. Please allow 30 minutes for check-in. This tour is great for any level of stand up paddler from beginner to expert and is great for the entire family to enjoy. We ask that you are a confident swimmer, comfortable in the water, must be fully mobile and in good physical condition to join this tour. Stand up paddle boarding is a low-impact, full body workout and is a great way to get outside to enjoy nature and have some fun!

Your experience begins with a 10 minute introductory lesson on how to behave around a horse, how mount a horse, and how to ride. We then embark on an exclusive access 70 minute trail ride to the Lake Proctor Wilderness area and a chance to explore undeveloped Florida. We’ll venture through various ecosystems that make up the 475 acre Lake Proctor Wilderness area. Pine scrub, pine flatwoods, sandhill and bayhead swamps covered all of Central Florida when Conquistadors and settlers explored these lands long before Disney. Each is a distinct eco system, and change before your eyes as thick palmettos and tall pines lead into sprawling oaks heavy with Spanish Moss and resurrection ferns. Trails bright with lichens and moss give way to brackish waters and rich black mud. As we loop back toward home, keep an eye out for bald eagles, sandhill cranes, pileated woodpeckers, a gopher tortoise, and maybe even a gator. Other things to note There is a weight limit of 215. No previous horseback riding experience is required. Any allergies to insects, horses, grass or in general must be disclosed.

You'll learn three basic commands - walk, whoa, and around and then choose to further explore the West Orange Trail and enjoy a beautiful scenic walk, side by side with your highly trained miniature horse or stay on property and challenge yourself with our obstacles in our Training Center. Low tide is the best time to hunt for sea glass ! I’ll confirm our time the week of your experience. Meet up- We will meet at Pineda Beach- just before Patrick Air Force Base Time- Please arrive 30 minutes early to look for SeaGlass Experience time -2-3 people typically 75 min., 4-8 people 2 hours including time on the beach looking for SeaGlass What we will do- •We will walk down towards the satellite dish on the beach to hunt for Seaglass. Look for SeaGlass here: •The tide line, dunes, reef, waters edge, and in the shells •if you find glass , please use it to create your item. •You can trade for one of my pieces if you prefer. •I will provide SeaGlass to you if you don’t find it •pendants/bracelet- pick one piece of glass, 1-2 charms, 1-2 beads •pick out a color of wire •pick out your necklace •All supplies provided. •This is a one of a kind local activity that will provide family time and keepsake from your vacation here from our beautiful barrier island. Other things to note: •Wear clothes that can get wet • bring a towel , sunscreen, & bag to keep shells •beach shoes if you prefer them to walk •You will be standing to look for SeaGlass on the beach 20-30 min or you can sit at the picnic table instead. •restroom on site at Pineda Beach. We will teach you to Stand Up Paddle or Kayak and have you feeling like a pro in no time!
