Barn vacation rentals in Ontario

Our recent stay at Heather and Bill’s rustic cabin was nothing short of magical. The setting was idyllic—surrounded by serene woods and offering the perfect retreat from daily life. The cabin was spacious and provided for two separate sleeping areas. The beds were extremely comfortable and clean linens were supplied. We were provided with all that we needed to cook our own meals and Heather generously included common breakfast items. The cabin itself remained cool during day and was warm at night despite not being heated. We were surprised that there were no insects in the cabin for the duration of our stay. Heather did supply mosquito netting and repellent but we did not find that we needed to use them. The outdoor shower allowed for a unique experience of bathing under an open sky while affording sufficient privacy. Heather checked in regularly to see if we needed anything and was genuinely interested in making our stay a memorable one. This experience exceeded all our expectations!

The retreat is a lovely tranquil spot in the Ottawa Valley. It is spacious and comfortable, with lots of big windows looking out on the surrounding countryside. The only close neighbours are the deer and the wild turkeys. Carol is a friendly and charming host and she responds right away to any requests. Highly recommended! I plan to return, any time that urban life gets to be too much!

This place was beautiful and homey! Honestly, the upper floor was much bigger than we expected and very clean. The bathrooms were all renovated and looked beautiful. The space was nice and kitchen was very pristine. The pool area was enjoyable and pond was nice to boat in. Would recommend this place for a nice family cottage trip :)

Luisa’s place was absolutely beautiful. We visited for a weekend with our family. It felt high end and luxurious but at the same time comfortable and cozy. The minimal Scandinavian inspired design is complemented with warm, natural textures and elements. Big windows let in loads of sunshine , a cozy fireplace keeps it toasty and oversized furniture inside gives you a soft place to rest. White lights through the trees, a hot tub and sauna make the outdoors feel like a Nordic spa. I can’t say enough good things about it! It’s a spacious, bright, cozy and intimate place to gather and have some R+R. Highly recommended. PS Luisa is super-friendly!

This Airbnb is the perfect location for a large group weekend getaway. My group varied over the weekend from 16-18 people, and we did not require any additional air mattresses. The beds were honestly the comfiest I have came across other than my own, and the rooms were clearly freshly cleaned and equipped with water bottles & bathing supplies. The abundance of bathrooms made it very easy for our large group to take care of their needs, and they all appeared newly renovated & very clean. The kitchen and wet bars located on every floor were also very clean & equipped with all the essential utensils, pots & pans. We were particularly impressed with the keurig coffee makers at each wet par stocked with K-cups, mugs & a fridge. The large downstairs area was the best party spot capable of comfortably fitting 40+ people. With a large bar, 1 TV, 2 large tables, rustic wood decor, original mill pictures & equipment, roll up doors & plenty of large windows to view the fast running dam and lake, it made for an amazing hang out spot capable of all party games. The upstairs games room was equally as perfect of a party/hangout spot located 2 flights of stairs above the main open area. It offered a whole different set of options including pool table, air hockey, poker, and a projector screen. We had a Mario kart tournament on the screen and was so much fun. Aside from the Airbnb itself, the location is better than the pictures. The atmosphere included a beautiful dam, lake & trees that made you feel like you and your group were far from civilization and was very relaxing. Also, Nancy was a super host by being friendly , accommodating & easy to work with through her prompt correspondence. We will be coming back someday. It is worth every penny and would recommend to any large group.

A very beautiful and cozy place to stay, but it was a bit noisy, because the road is right next to the bedroom.

We were here for our father/FIL memorial service. It was a busy, hectic, emotional time. And Anne Marie’s carriage house was a calming oasis in a stunning setting. Despite some rain, we walked along the shore every day. The space is clean, bright, beautiful with everything we needed for cooking in the kitchen. Thank you Anne Marie!

Lindsey & Dylan’s place was absolutely beautiful. Their hospitality and attention to detail made our stay incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. It was clean, tidy & beautifully decorated. The house looked exactly like the pictures and was pristine. They thought of every detail from coffee, tea & creamers. We were welcomed with a wine & s’mores. We enjoyed our stay. So did our pups, where they were able to roam & run around in the big open yard every day. We love the privacy of the place. We enjoyed the heated pool & outdoor sauna. It was a perfect place to relax & enjoy nature. I consider myself to be picky & careful on choosing places where to stay. Clean & privacy are my main priorities. This place has reached my expectations & more. Our communication with Lyndsey & Dylan was great. They returned our messages right away! Dylan came over right away to help us with some stuff. Awesome hosts. We would love to come back in the near future. Highly recommended!!!

The Nest was a perfect getaway for our group of friends, for a quiet and peaceful retreat. The refurbished barn has a unique blend of original and modern decor, which creates a beautiful aesthetic, and Michelle went out of her way to create a welcoming space, with tons of amenities (over and above the regular expectations) to help you move into a liveable and warm space. She was prompt with responses and met us on site for a personal tour of the airbnb. The venue definitely lives up to the photos/description.

Jacques Wohnung war gemütlich eingerichtet. Betten waren vorbereitet und Handtücher lagen für uns bereit. Auch eine kleine Überraschung gab es für uns. Bevor wir abgereist sind hat Jacque uns noch die Pferde gezeigt. Das war wirklich ein toller Abschluss!

We had such a wonderful stay at this cozy barn in Roblin! It’s a beautiful, peaceful spot , the perfect getaway to relax and unwind. I brought my partner here for her birthday, and she absolutely loved it! The barn has a charming and comfortable vibe, and it was the ideal location since it’s only about an hour away from the 1000 Islands Rockport Cruise. It made for a memorable and scenic get away. Highly recommend this spot for couples looking for a romantic escape!

Amazing vacation rental, fully equipped so cozy, warm with lots of indoor and outdoor space. Beautiful view of the mountains with big windows, spacious bedrooms and all the amenities we needed. Zehra was amazing and gave us great pointers on what to visit and it was all worth it. We are returning home with great souvenirs 🧡

Great location, very quiet and serene. It was perfect for our need of a quiet escape from the city. Super clean which is always a plus. Our toddler loved all the toys and books. Our toddler didn’t play with any of the toys or books we brought from home.

My only “even better if” for my stay at The Coop is that I booked more time there. I arrived feeling stressed from busy-ness of the city and left peaceful. This stay was to do creative thinking/focused work .. this was the perfect spot for this! Remote yet 5-10min to shops, restos, beach etc. Inside space is rustic yet modern and very spacious. Enjoyed the outdoor space with table and bbq (had dinner outside .. enjoyed warm evening sun). The bed was fabulous - comfortable, crisp / fresh bedding and the big windows were soothing to wake to. Ava was extremely responsive and helpful. Instructions were very easy and clear to follow. Bonuses were fresh eggs (yum!) and the “greeters” (Ozzie and Cliff) who came by to say hi if they were out (adorable, friendly dogs). Ava and Tim - you’ve created something really special! Thank you!!

The entire experience was world class. Not only was the coach house one of the most unique & beautiful air bnb's that I have ever stayed in, but the care & kindness of the hosts (Peri and Andrew) made the experience 7, 8, nay, 10 Stars! The space itself floored us. Everything was so intentional and beautiful. The surroundings were serene, the small touches (like homemade pancake mix, local jam, and a bouquet of flowers) were above and beyond. Being pet friendly was a huge benefit for me since I was travelling from the Maritimes with my best buddy Henderson, and they left out everything needed for a persons-best-friend too! All in all, the experience was top notch, and I would encourage anyone looking for a restful retreat to consider Peri & Andrew's unique coach house :)

We had a wonderful stay at this beautifully restored barn house! The space was full of charm and character, with all the modern comforts we needed. The hosts were absolutely lovely—super responsive and thoughtful throughout our stay. The surrounding countryside was peaceful and scenic, the perfect setting to relax and unwind. Our daughter loved the place, and we really appreciated the thoughtful touches like the high chair and crib they provided for her—it made traveling with a little one so much easier. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing countryside getaway!

Gail was an amazing and gracious host. Her response time was good. It’s a fun place to stay with lots of room and has extra things to do while around the property. She took generous time to tour the farm with the family and gave horseback riding lessons at more than a fair cost to the children. We would most definitely stay there again!
