The Steading with Pool & Hot Tub

RachaelRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A great getaway with loads to do close by for whatever mood you're in - great towns and cities like Calendar and Stirling less than half an hour away, equally beautiful countryside and multiple waterfalls, lochs and walks to choose from on the doorstep. Our toddler loved the on site swimming pool and the grown ups enjoyed the peaceful views from the hot tub too! Rosie was so friendly and accommodating.

Charming riverside cottage, wood fired hot tub

JanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our stay in this charmingly furnished and superbly located cottage was a delight. We were fortunate to have sunny, warm weather in May which added to our daughter’s enjoyment of the hot tub. We thoroughly recommend the fine dining at Monachyle Mhor where the staff excel at welcoming hospitality. It was an added pleasure to meet Tom and Lisa in person.

Lovely location and David was very responsive. We had a wee problem with the hot tub and David came out to rectify it early morning when the weather was at its worst. Great hosts and take pride in their accommodation and facilities. A great break in homely accommodation with the hot tub as a lovely addition. The weather didn’t spoil our stay and enjoyed the peace and quiet of this great location.

We had a lovely stay at Chloe’s place in Fort William! The home was clean, cosy, and well-equipped for a comfortable stay. The deck area was a peaceful spot to relax and enjoy the surrounding nature. The check-in process was smooth, and the location was ideal—close enough to town yet quiet and scenic. Would definitely recommend this spot for anyone visiting the Highlands!

Trotters Burn Isle of Skye

HeidiRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Wonderful place to stay for our group of 7. Great point for exploring all of Skye. Lovely house, very clean, lots of great recommendations, beautiful sunsets! Only thing I would mentioned was that one of the double beds was a loft bed which we didn’t realize - this meant our adult daughter needed to bunk with grandma in one room that was a single over double because grandma couldn’t get in/out of the loft bed. Other rooms were already accounted for. Not the end of the world and we managed just fine. Overall, great place to stay.

Picturesque Old Smiddy Cottage

TaniaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Words cannot express the wonderful week we have had on Loch Katrine. Old Smiddy is ideally located for hiking the mountains, lochs and woodland and Carole has thought of all you need to make it feel like a home from home. Having our morning tea watching the Barn Swallows and House Martins catching their breakfast on the lake in the sunshine was very special. Aberfoyle has all you need for food and cute shops and fantastic Doone Hill walk from the town - Free Parking!!! A ferry trip on the Sir Walter Scott from the pier over to Trossachs Pier is a MUST and the Primrose Hill hike was stunning. The Pier Cafe is outstanding, definitely worth a treat and just a short walk away. Thank you Carole for sharing your amazing house, we will be back to enjoy the hot tub and sauna 🤞

Retro quarrymans cottage, No5 Easdale island Oban

GillianRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The location and property exceeded our expectations. It has everything you need with a little nostalgia on the side. The views are fantastic from anywhere on the island, with lots of walks and swim spots. The islanders were very welcoming, and provided helpful info re best swim locations. We swam once or twice every day, access is with care via a 'slate slide'. There is a lovely pub/cafe, The Puffer, opposite the cottage, but worth booking as it gets very busy, open Thursday to Sunday. Locally produced, reasonably priced art, jewellery and soaps are available. The island is a peaceful haven.

We had a lovely time staying at Ann's for our visit to Skye. Ann was very responsive to messages and so graciously flexible with our check in time (when we got held up several hours by a closed road). The cottage was beautifully clean with stunning views of the bay, and well located to reach all parts of the island. Would definitely recommend staying with Ann!

It is ideally placed for walking on the West Highland Way or for tackling either Ben Lomond or the much less challenging Conic Hill. The cottage is comfortable and well-equipped, with a back garden for sitting out (weather and midges permitting). Fiona is a very friendly and helpful host.

Absolutely beautiful, rustic and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay immensely and this was our favorite place during our whole time in Scotland. Views of the loch and you can even see the Eileen Donan castle! one funny thing was the bath- while it had a shower handle there wasn’t a way to stand and shower so we all ended up having baths! Thank you Zoe for an amazing stay, I would definitely recommend!

There are lots of activities on the nearby estates including quad biking, horse riding, zip wires, canyoning, clay pigeon shooting and archery. Lots of good places to eat too.

We loved Fiona's stylish, warm, well equipped. We didn't have great weather but it didn't matter because it was such a nice place to hangout. Fiona was a really good host, warning us about possible traffic problems on the way and suggesting wet weather things to do. It's a beautiful area and we'd like to go back one day.

The situation of the bothy next to the sea and stream is quite magical - this is a special place and we had a wonderful stay. Early mornings in the middle of all of the local wildlife are very special, and the chair overlooking the bay is perfect for watching the sun set. Thanks to Alison and David for making out stay so comfortable, and for great advice regarding things to see on the island.
