The Byre is a delightful upcycled 19th century listed cow byre on an old farm. The room looks out on to the farm courtyard. There is a large garden for visitors use, and dark skies above us. We are an eco friendly family, and the Byre comes with a private composting toilet in a separate wooden shed, and a water supply just outside.Think of it as cosy camping in a stone tent.

In the center of things, but still was quiet and peaceful. It is a beautiful, well appointed place with incredible views of the castle and water. Comfortable beds. Wonderful shower. Great kitchen. We hope to stay again. It was perfect.

Beautiful location for a lovely farm stay, great views from the hot tub! Loved being able to watch the cows and sheep. Claire was lovely and was ready to help at any moment despite us arriving so late at night! Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!

This is a large, generous and well equipped listing, in a cool neighbourhood in Newcastle. There are some truly excellent cafes and restaurants in the surrounding area, and it is simple enough to get into the city centre. Highly recommend this place!

Liz has an incredible little cottage that is so cosy and welcoming. We had everything we needed to enjoy our weekend, and Liz made sure to provide us plenty of info on the surrounding areas. The living room and outside fire pit were particularly great for hanging out. The place was spotless when we arrived and there were clear instructions for us checking out, which made our checkout process super easy. Thank you Liz!

Bright Central One Bedroom Mezzanine Apartment

Klara's place was everything we wanted for our trip to Scotland! It was a quick walk from most places we wanted to see- there were many museums, historical sights, restaurants, pubs nearby- but just outside the busy areas so we were never bothered by noise or foot traffic on the street. The flat was clean, had everything we needed, and felt homey. My only complaints were that the bed was not the most comfortable, and the lack of curtains on large windows meant that it heated up quite a lot on the 2 days it got unseasonably warm out. Neither was a deal-breaker though and we still really enjoyed our time there. We would highly recommend Klara's flat to anyone coming to Edinburgh to see the city and historical sights, and she was a fantastic host.
