The nearest beach resort from Takamatsu

千珠Rating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
On the day, the evening ferry was cancelled due to bad weather, and they called in the morning and drove the luggage to the apartment at the ferry time. (We accidentally missed the ferry to Ogi Island once, and despite the inconvenience, they came to pick us up a second time.I'm really grateful. Check-in was smooth and I was able to relax immediately. The room was private and very spacious, and 6 of us used it, but 2 people were prepared in 3 rooms, and we had a relaxing stay. The ocean spread out in front of me, and even in bad weather (cloudy) it felt very open. Also, the decorated interior and art were very nice, and it felt like we were staying in a villa by the sea overseas. The kitchen was equipped with a commercial stove and a spacious sink, and we were able to use the basic condiments left by previous guests. If you buy food in Takamatsu, I think you can make basic dishes without any problems. Also, there were two bathrooms, one with only a shower and one with a bathtub, It was great to get into the bathtub early. It was a luxurious bath time where the sea breeze came in and the sound of the waves could be felt nearby, even though the outside was not visible to pedestrians. Also, I was told that the sound of the wind and rattling might be louder at night, but I didn't really notice it. At check-out, breakfast was served early so that we could make it in time for the ferry. I was able to get together with friends in a very nice space and enjoy reading in peace.Thank you very much. Lastly, I was surprised to learn that the author of Hotaru no Hikari was drawing a manga here! It's certainly a place that's so charming you'll want to paint it!

Contemporary Ryokan "Tenrai" in Castle Town

JonathanRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Takahashi is my favorite town to stay in when visiting the Okayama prefecture, and this is my second time visiting TENRAI. It is always very peaceful and serene with tons of natural beauty. It is a short walk away from Raikyuji Temple and the Former Haibara Family Samurai House. With a little bit of effort, you can even walk to the shuttle van stop that takes you to the Mastuyama Castle hiking trails. It is incredibly relaxing to spend early mornings observing the well-manicured private garden at TENRAI. Despite the lush surroundings being full of life, there were no pests within the accommodations. A highlight of this ryokan is the main house’s massive bath that looks like it can seat 4 people. The bath even has its own zen garden, which is incredible to observe while soaking.

A special time at Farmhouse Inn 3091, a heartwarming experience in nature, during the Setouchi Triennale

UlrikeRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The farm with animals and a treehouse is perfect for families. Our kids loved it! We were allowed to help feed the animals and were warmly accompanied. The hosts took time for us, showed us everything and were incredibly hospitable. In the morning and evening we were pampered with delicious, authentic Japanese cuisine that tasted the whole family. You live together with the couple in the house and occupy their own room there. We would have liked to have stayed longer.

This was fine for a budget place. It was cold but under the covers it’s just fine for sleeping. We woke up to fresh snow on the ground at the end of April! It was beautiful. The host is very nice.

Take a luxurious break at a private villa surrounded by mountains and the sea

tamRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Used for corporate retreats. There was a training session until 7 pm, so I didn't have time to cook, so I consulted with the owner and asked for a visiting chef. I appreciate the owner's flexibility. The accommodation was really wonderful, with everything you could possibly need, including dishes, knives, an extension cord for the hot plate, a rice cooker for the blender, cutlery for the pots, and more. The sauna was comfortable, the bath was right next to it, and the view was great, so everyone was really happy. Everyone was saying "Yeah, yeah" and it was linked to the name of the accommodation, so it was a little embarrassing. The view from the sauna was also the best, and I was able to experience something extraordinary, making it the best trip.Thank you! Everyone said they wanted to come back.Thank you very much!

On the way [A rental villa on a hill overlooking the beautiful islands of the Seto Inland Sea and the stunning sunset]

JosephRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I’ve stayed in many beautiful air b&b’s over the years but this one wins first place. Simply a magical place. Everything from the style of interior to the surrounding nature was perfect. Incredibly clean & finished to a very high standard. I particularly enjoyed looking out over the landscape from the bathtub. I slept exceptionally well here & felt right at home. The hosts are very kind and friendly people with great recommendations & helped me organise a taxi when I was in need. Overall outstanding & I highly recommend. I shall be back! 😊

Sky City offers breathtaking sea views.

晓乐Rating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The rooms in the Sky City are spacious and bright, with great sea views. We had an extraordinary experience during our stay, the owner gave us the most enthusiastic and warmest service.Although I was a little unwell on the island, fortunately, I met the landlord couple who were also Chinese. They took us out of the island to the hospital every day. I was really grateful, and they invited us to eat and drink in the Moon City.I am so moved that I can't express it. The first stop on my next trip to Japan will definitely be the Sky City. Thanks again to Brother AI and his wife, we'll continue to drink until we're drunk when we come back.
