A special time at Farmhouse Inn 3091, a heartwarming experience in nature, during the Setouchi Triennale

The farm with animals and a treehouse is perfect for families. Our kids loved it! We were allowed to help feed the animals and were warmly accompanied. The hosts took time for us, showed us everything and were incredibly hospitable. In the morning and evening we were pampered with delicious, authentic Japanese cuisine that tasted the whole family. You live together with the couple in the house and occupy their own room there. We would have liked to have stayed longer.

We had a wonderful stay. The location is in a rural community which we wanted so it was perfect for us. They gave us lots of suggestions and help of what to do, see and eat. The hosts were very kind.

Lemon tree hotel

AnshulRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Our stay at the Lemon Tree Hotel on Ogijima was truly special. Ken was a thoughtful and responsive host—he met us at the port and guided us to the hotel. He mostly kept to himself, but was always happy to help when needed. The space was bohemian and raw, and more private than expected. There was a treehouse-style bedroom and a separate kitchen and living area that was peaceful and secluded, all with incredible views. The food was fresh and delicious, and we loved the chickens roaming around. Wandering the island’s winding, narrow alleys and stumbling upon surprising and beautiful art installations was a joy. A perfect blend of comfort, creativity, and sustainability—we left feeling refreshed and inspired.
A traditional living room features wooden walls and ceiling. A central hearth with a pot hangs above it, surrounded by seating areas. Sliding doors open to outdoor views, and tatami mats are visible in the corner, creating a welcoming and serene space.

Temple Retreat for Serenity & Healing | Yakushian

The owner was very helpful! I was able to experience cooking rice in a kamado for the first time, and I was able to cook delicious rice without any problems because the host kindly taught me how to split firewood and how to cook! The grounds were spacious, the location was quiet, and the private space was very good! It was nice that the surroundings were covered with gravel and there were no insects! When the weather was good at night, you could see the stars, and the location was great♪ The room was also beautifully arranged and we had no inconvenience. We'd love to go again!
