Comprehensive check-in. Sarah went out of her way to make our young family feel welcome. We appreciated all of the little touches such as train themed books and toys, fresh farm eggs, toy tractors for the kids, and ensuring supplies were topped up for the fire. The daily feedings were also a hit with our three year old. All of this and we haven’t even mentioned the train carriage! A unique and memorable stay. We will be back.

My family of 8, which included 1 wheelchair user (ambulance short distances with a stick), 2 kids and a baby booked both carriages for 3 days. Our visit was preceded by 3 days of unrelenting rain followed by really cold and windy days when we were there. Our arrival was an adventure with the green pasture hiding soft mud and we almost got stuck! Nevertheless, Sam and Katrina were unfailingly warm and responsive and more than once drove out to help us. The panel heating in this carriage was a real saviour for our older folk, though the bathroom in this one is smaller. My kids will be talking about this stay for years to come. The carriages were beautifully renovated, with thoughtful touches like games, eco-friendly features. If coming with kids, cater lots of time to visit the creek with its natural playground, tire swing and zip line!

We had a fantastic stay. They are so friendly and helpful with a good sense of humor. Breakfast was served with a beautiful view so that’s a great start of the day. Hopefully we will be back in the area so we can schedule more time @ they’re relaxing property. We definitely recommend staying here ☺️.

Absolutely spectacular. Beautiful location, quiet and private. Stunning old train carriages decked out beautifully with period, quality furnishing, sheets, curtains and all. It was a true pleasure to stay here and experience what is clearly a train fanatics life work. Place was spotless, well maintained, had everything you need and is a must stay. It was a beautiful location with perfect access to the rest of Golden Bay! Nothing felt too far and it was always lovely to return to the cozy caboose.

We had a wonderful 3 day stay with family and friends to share an 80 th birthday. Our ages ranged from 1 year old to 80 and all ages in between and everyone had a wonderful time. The kitchen with its cooking facilities, crockery, cutlery, glassware etc. was everything we needed and more. The pizza oven was a treat as was the BBQ. The children loved the well stocked dress up box, the spa and the grounds for running around and being active. The pool table and table tennis were well used and there were many cosy areas to sit and chat or have quiet time. The train was very cosy and the beds so comfortable. Those who camped enjoyed the shady area under the macedamia trees. There were so many quirky, interesting additions and decorative features to the various areas especially the Irish Pub which was a popular venue for nightly games. We would recommend this accommodation and venue wholeheartdely. The hosts are very welcoming and always responsive. Thank you.

What a beautiful and relaxing place. Carly's attention to detail is amazing. Everything you need is there. The new garden area with herbs and flowers is lovely. If you want a relaxing getaway to just sit on the balcony, sip local wine and look at a beautiful view then I can't recommend this venue highly enough. Thank you Carly.

The place was modest but adorable, with the perfect location to feel the benefits of a remote location, lots of space on the property to walk around, comfortable amenities, and access to beautiful nature. There were huge exciting storms at night but we felt safe and secure. It has everything you need, just bring your groceries.

We had such a lovely stay at the tram!! Such a unique and beautiful place with everything you need and more. Doug and Rachael were so friendly and have the cutest dog and sheep on their property. Will definitely try stay here again :)

Our extended family had a wonderful stay at The George. Sleeping in a train carriage was a dream come true for my train loving nephew! The kids enjoyed playing handball in the yard, meeting the resident animals, as well as relaxing on the couch playing boardgames. They even saw little kangaroos or wallabies on the property in the early morning! The living area was spacious enough for all 9 of us to hang out, it didn't feel crowded at all. Yes the bedrooms are cosy, but that adds to the charm. We are in a converted train carriage after all! The shower pressure was good with lots of hot water, and there is now WIFI in case you need it. We had a great time and it definitely is one of the coolest places I have stayed at. Thanks Ashley - you guys have done an amazing job with the place!

it's a unique experience to stay in a nearly 100 years old carriage, kids will love it and the playground also keeps them well entertained 😀

We had a fantastic stay at Red Hen’s. The place was spotlessly clean and super cute. The views of the vineyard from inside the train are beautiful. It was raining and cold in McLaren vale the weekend we stayed, but the heater in the train kept us nice and warm. The location was good and a quick drive from lots of wineries. Carly was an excellent host and great to communicate with via message. We would definetly stay again.

More than five stars! Suzie's place is a dream! Exactly what I needed for a peaceful solo getaway. The way the carriage has been developed and furnished is so clever and inventive - I had everything I needed and more. I can't wait to visit again.

We had a wonderful stay at the train. Stunning location, great hosts, everything we needed and our dog Mabel was in heaven with so much fenced space to run around. The fire pit was a treat on the cold nights. We will definitely be returning to stay again.

Fantastic place to stay for a weekend in Stanthorpe. Brent was fantastic as a host. House was beautifully clean and well stocked with everything you needed. Beautiful location!!

Staying in the tram was such a unique and fun experience! Kerry and her family were very friendly and helpful, making the whole stay smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for something a little different!

Fun to stay in a converted guard carriage. It is tiny but Kerrie had done an exceptional job & it’s so clean. Her muesli and yoghurts were super yummy, bed so comfortable & great shower. Paeroa golf course is awesome, Karangahape Gorge walk is world class and the local cafe, The Refinery is a must for coffee & food.

Always a great place to stay, comfortable and close to Fremantle. Sarah as host is incredible.

We had a group of 7 of us - a Mums weekend away. We were blown away with Jerrapark. Blew our expectations! The spa retreat was the best part. Photos don’t do it justice. Chris checked on us every day/night to make sure we had the fires burning and if we needed a hand with anything. The fireplace in the open kitchen/living was surrounded by couches where we could sit back for dinners and a glass of wine. The carriages were cosy with comfortable bedding. The whole venue has been thoughtfully put together. No details are missed. We would all go back again. If you’re thinking about Jerrapark, you won’t be disappointed.

A beautiful and peaceful escape from the city! Perfect for a night or two to sit and listen to the rain.

Rose was very welcoming and helpful. Lovely rustic train carriage. Cosy and homely old world carriage with lovely garden surroundings. Mother chicken had her little baby chicks nearby. Very peaceful and relaxing break.
