I stayed with 13 of my high school friends! The sauna was authentic, the barbecue stove was easy to use, and the garden wires were perfect! It was a well cleaned and clean facility! It was also very pleasant to have coffee and breakfast, bring a hot sand maker, and eat hot sandwiches and coffee on the terrace. Regarding the sauna, it goes up to 110 degrees Celsius, so it is difficult to lower the temperature even if it is rolled, and it is well arranged with a water bath and infinity chair. It was also great to get hot water in the large jacuzzi when it got cold! Lipi, Lipi, Repeat Confirm ~♪

Jikyo’s place felt very homely and it is the perfect spot if you want to experience the countryside of kyoto. He was also willing to go out of the way to accommodate us by picking us up from the train station personally!

The place was very beautiful and has everything required for a peaceful vacation …. It was definitely worth it….

This is a lovely traditional home in a small, quiet town, attractive to stroll around and admire. The house is spacious, comfortable, and well-stocked for a night or two with friends and/or family. It suited our group of five adults and two 12-year-olds extremely well. The fact that it has so many bedrooms is a significant advantage for groups that don't all want to share the same sleeping space, as is often the case at Japanese Airbnbs. The friendly hosts were waiting for us at check-in and gave us an extremely detailed tour and explanation of the property. There are not many services within walking distance, so we were glad we rented a car. We cooked dinner and breakfast, and found many useful condiments and spices in the kitchen. Really, the only disadvantage of this home is that it is rather expensive, but the experience of staying there is unique, making it worth the cost. Airbnb prices in general seem to be rising, so it is not dissimilar to others like it.

Beautiful stay in the countryside with ample space and amenities. There’s a cute coffee shop right next door that serves great coffee and small desserts. It was very clean and quiet with a lot of historical homes surrounding the area. One thing to keep in mind is that since this is a smaller town, there are limited food options within walking distance. There are some very well rated and delicious kaiseki cuisine restaurants in the area however most require a reservation a day or more in advance in person or over the phone.

I think that Chie's guest house is the most beautiful and peaceful airbnb I've stayed at. Separate from their main house, you get the whole guest house to yourself which allows for privacy but is also right next to their house in case anything happens. both her husband and daughter were also very kind and recommended some great restaurants and places to go nearby. while it is a little out of the way from kyoto, I would recommend it if you want a calm lakeside getaway, and I would definitely recommend it during late spring and summer so that you can take advantage of the water activities. I will definitely stay here again the next time I come to Shiga.

When I came to this house and Omi-Maiko itself, I immediatly regreted not booking for longer, if I only knew how beutiful the surrounding were. The house is beautiful and spaceus, the futons have extra padding so they are more comfortable to sleep in, there are bikes so getting to a store is a matter of few minutes. I personaly enjoyed riding along the Biwako's coast with the bikes. There is a great onsen biking distance aswell! If I could, I would definitly come here once again. Thanks for the great experience!

The place is clean and we managed to check in early. Thanks to the cleaner aunty. There aren't many shops around the amenities. The bus stop is just a walking distance
