Grootfontein Private Reserve is located in the Waterberg biosphere, 20km from the Thabazimbi town centre in the Limpopo Province of South Africa and about 250km from Gauteng. Aloe Lodge is 3km from the gated farm entrance along a farm road. Being in a remote part of the region, we are off-the-grid. This means, you won't find much cell phone signal (we have WiFi), or the usual mod-cons such as hair dryers, microwaves or TV's. It's soul-food and a getaway into nature!

You can run, cycle, or just walk around the estates 10km’s of dirt road to check out the area
