Family-friendly vacation rentals in North Troms

The house is perfect for a relaxing vacation. We used the optional sauna and the snow shoes and had wonderful time. Our host was Neo who is a very nice and caring person. We can recommend the Jaeger Adventure Camp very much!

Wonderful cabin with an incredible view of the fjord. Bright and comfortable, with lots of common spaces useful for our needs. It was the perfect base for our ski mountaineering week in Lyngen. Also, the gem is the outdoor hot tub where you can relax under the stars at the end of the day. Maria and Andreas have always been available and very friendly, welcoming us even in the middle of the night due to a delay in our flight. Highly recommended!

Elisabeth is a very nice host, proactive and super welcoming ! Be sure that you will have all the attentions necessary to enjoy your stay more than expected (local recommendations, regular message with weather update before and during your stay). The house is fully equipped and very cosy so that you can spent cosy days inside when the weather in Senja is not the most beautiful :) I can only recommend at 100% !!

The place was just as described, super cozy and with a fantastic view. Arthur gave us a very warm welcome, gave us some tips for Tromsø and even brought drinks for the hot tub. We felt very comfortable and would come back anytime. Thank you :)

An absolutely successful stay in Norway. Very friendly and uncomplicated communication from start to finish. We felt completely comfortable. The house is a dream to unplug. Quiet location with a great view. Sauna, hot tub or a cozy fire in the fireplace help with this. We did not miss anything in the house. We would come back any time, it was really great. Per was an exceptional host! Out of 100 stays, he is by far the best host we have had. Per made sure everything was perfect for the stay. The kids loved the snow on the farm and Per sorted out a sledding hill for them along with all the bits and bobs needed to enjoy the cold weather. He went above and beyond and I am grateful for the hospitality and love that he showed myself, wife, and three kids. Thank you!

Stay and book within the city of Tromsø for 2-3 days and the rest of your stay, you MUST book one of Freddy’s campers. Beyond the city, you will see the real beauty of Tromsø. We stayed at Freddy’s place for 5 nights! Within six days, 1. We saw the Aurora Borealis dancing right in front of Freddy’s property. 2. We watched the most beautiful green, pink, purple Aurora Borealis during our last night right at Freddy’s backyard. 💚💜💖 3. We hiked twice in different areas 30-mins away by driving from Freddy’s place, 4. We had a walk in the nearby area 5. We ate quail eggs (gifted to us by Freddy). 6. There was a day when we just stayed in the camper, enjoyed the view and read a book. We also walked around the area that day. 7. From afar, we saw Moose and Reindeers. 8. Max the cat, the ducks and Geese are a plus! So adorable! We really wanted to get around the places outside the city, good thing Freddy had an extra car for us to rent. We can assure you, renting a car and driving around is worth the view, worth the everything! 😉 The camper was clean, complete and organize as we arrived. For two people, it is very spacious. The view from the window is stunning. The camper is well-heated. 30mins away, there is a local grocery store. We ate there once and we liked it, and we did our groceries from there too. Karin welcomed us and explained to us everything. Freddy was very helpful with many tips to give us. You can ask him anything about Tromsø. He lent us snow shoes and walking sticks for hiking. We wouldn’t have hiked without it. They are both hospitable and very interesting people to talk with. So if you’re planning a trip outside of Tromsø city, Freddy’s camper is the place to be!

Nick and Penny were extremely helpful and helped us to settle down when we arrived, got us some essential groceries and guided us. The surroundings are peaceful and have a great view. We could see dancing Northern lights at midnight from their apartment. It was a beautiful experience to stay at their apartment.

The apartment is located in a quiet area at the top of the mountain. The bus stop is a few hundred meters away. Across the street you have a beautiful view of the city, on the last evening we watched the northern lights over the house, the city and the Storsteinen from there, really very nice. For skiers (cross-country skiing), the area is perfect. In the immediate vicinity are several illuminated cross-country trails (e.g. Charlottenlund or Prestvatnet). I also liked the Tromsø Alpine Park. They are very nice hosts, I didn't have to ask any questions, as everything was already answered via the Airbnb app (code for the key box, Wi-Fi, garbage separation, access to the apartment, ...). Since it was not my first stay in Tromsø, I did not need excursion tips, but there are several brochures for this on the shelf. By bus you are in the city in about 10 minutes. The surroundings (generally northern Norway) are beautiful.

Lovely cozy old small cottage house, immediately felt like home <3 A little squank so vertigo on the first evening but it passed the next day. Went for daily morning swims in the sea, baked bread and skiid mountains. Perfect peaceful location on Kvaloya. Especially lovely snd functional kitchen, even had a smoothie blender and beautiful bowls. The road to the house tends to be undrivable if it snows and slushes but it worked great to arrange snow clearing directly with Siv’s brother Gaute who lives nearby (because if you park near the main road, then nobody can clear the snow). Ha det bra och tusen tack för allt!

We had a great week at this beautiful house by the fjord. Everything was perfect: the super fluffy bedding, the house very welcoming and very clean, the glass window directly overlooking the fjord....we even had a beautiful aurora borealis directly on the terrace!! Tommy is an extremely welcoming host (thank you again for the delicious fish!), very responsive and constantly concerned about our well-being. We recommend this house 100% thank you tommy!!

A perfect stay. When we arrived the accommodation was already heated, much appreciated. The accommodation is very clean and is equipped with all the essentials. The bedding is extremely comfortable. Finally, the view of Kvaløya is superb. Thanks to our hosts

Helene provided us with very kind, helpful, helpful information. The accommodation was perfect with a small child, we could use the sled. The kitchen is well equipped with some staples in the drawers (sugar, spices, etc.).

This was a very nice air bnb. Very spacious, private and with great views. The host was very friendly - even gave us a ride to town once. It is quite a walk to town, and in the snow was a bit treacherous! We figured out to use the bus, and that was much better.

Stian's place is not big but has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The location is also good - close to beautiful views, the airport, the city centre, shops. The area is quiet and peaceful. We were also able to see the northern lights from Telegrafbukta (on Stian's recommendation). Communication with Stian was easy and quick.

It was a great pleasure to stay at Gunnar’s lovely house. With an outstanding view including mountains and sea, you can still feel the calm atmosphere. We will always remember our days in Tromso and the house. Additionally it takes only 15 minutes from the airport. Just to remember, finding a taxi or Uber can be challenging in rush hours. We had four unforgettable days in Trømsø. The apartment had a good location. Close to the center and the water. There was even a parking space at the house. The apartment was clean and very well maintained and very well equipped.

Daniel is a great host, beautiful place. Felt like a home away from home. It's just 3 minutes walk from the nearest bus stop that goes to the city centre. The supermarket is also very close and tromso cable car is just 500m walk. The drawing room and the kitchen is especially well decorated. Everything was perfect during our stay. We'd love to stay again when we'll visit tromso in the future.

Fabiane is a fantastic host, and her communication was great. The flat is amazing and clean. The lounge is huge with massive windows and beautiful views. We also saw the northern lights from the flat. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fabiane’s home and highly recommend it to anyone who travels to Tromso.

Excellent experience, I would definitely come back! The house was super clean, warm, and well-equipped. It's located right by the sea, super quiet zone, you can't hear any cars, and you're surrounded by mountains. There's a supermarket near the house that has everything. But if you arrive very late, I recommend bringing food because it will be closed. I highly recommend this Airbnb. Grete and her husband were very kind and helpful at all times. Thank you both so much!
