Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Nore og Uvdal Municipality

A simply wonderful place to enjoy the Norwegian upland, with ski trails from the door, super floor heating, warm historic vibe, and a comfy couch. It has two tables that seat six, a kitchen with tools, utensils and servingware to cook for a crowd of 12 (or more) and serve them coffee and wine, and a dishwasher for cleanup. It’s very well-equipped—like visiting an aunt with one of everything—so there was a right-sized ski pole when we broke one, an extra pulk and harness, plastic sleds for a small army of children, extra ski wax and tools, and the mudroom has long benches for booting on/off, and tons of hooks for hanging outerwear. When wood for the fireplace ran low, Bengt responded quickly.and had it delivered. There are tons of books in the Nordic languages as well as English on many topics including the local area and beyond. The market in Ustaoset is a short walk/ski, and Geilo was easy to reach by bus, train, or taxi for stores, dining, or a downhill ski. Love. This. Place.

Great apartment that is even nicer than in the pictures. Compact at the same time as it felt spacious with a really nice view over the mountains and some spectacular sunrises. We stayed a family of four and went both downhill and cross country, with great conditions to do both right at the doorstep. Information by host was very thorough, and appreciated in particular the detailed Google docs with pictures and instructions on everything worth knowing about the apartment. We would be happy to return for a future holiday!

Lovely and spacious apartment in the middle of the sandwich at Kikut. Everything was clean and tidy, a well-equipped apartment and very pleasant host. We felt at home, and had a glorious Easter with ski slopes and trails just outside the door. Lovely to sit on the patio in the spring sun after skiing!

Great place right next to the slopes, like 5 meters. Balocony is pretty much on top of the kids slope which was great for us with small kids. The sauna door on the picture was unfortunately not a sauna anymore. But other than that great bedrooms and kitchen and common area. We were 3 families and it worked out great. Recommended 👍

Quick response and flexible with changed arrival. The cabin was close to the slopes and it was possible to park our car in the garage.

Steffen is an excellent host. kind, respectful, responsive and really wants his guests to have a great time. The apartment is in a fantastic location especially for families. it looks over the kids slope so once we had had enough, the kids could keep going under our watchful eye. the bedrooms have very comfortable two person beds (? king or superking) and the ski closet in the entrance was spacious and so useful. the kids enjoyed the separate tv area in their down time. modern, lovely decor, spacious, warm, brilliantly.located. parking steps away in the garage.
