Welcome to insta @Frykstaladan. It is located 50 meters from the fairytale lake Fryken's southern end. This unique place has a style all its own that has emerged over the five years that we have been rebuilding the barn. High ceilings and plenty of space both inside and out. FredrikLars-gården adjacent to Nordmarksbergs Herrgård: 19th century or older. In this farm, the great inventor John Ericsson's grandfather Nils (b. 1747 – 1790) has lived. On a rock in the grounds of the farm, there should be a curtain with the name of Nils. Picture of this stone can be found in Värmlandsarkiv's photo archive on a picture from 1955 (photo Lennart Thelander, pictures SEVA_11229_36 and SEVA_11230-1), but has not been found in the present day. It's probably hidden by mortar that's been covered over the rocks.

Peacefully between lake and farm in the forest

Here you will find wilderness combined with a small farmstead and good swimming and fishing opportunities. There are lots of small streams and lakes in the surrounding which is mostly unhabited. The traffic on the dust-road that leads through the small village is scarce and the silence is broken only by natural sounds. There are no wind-mills in the neighborhood.
