Vacation rentals with lake access in Nidwalden

We loved Villa Celeste. It was exactly as pictured and the location was easy to access Old Town by bus. It was a lovely, quiet neighborhood and we were glad it was away from hectic tourist areas, but close enough that it wasn’t a hassle to get there.

What a wonderful stay we had at Unterstutzberg, a charming 100 year old chalet. It was an absolute winter wonderland, with a nice layer of fresh snow having fallen shortly before we arrived. We only had a few glimpses of the stunning views because of thick fog, but that somehow added to the magic of the home. We're already planning to return someday in the future!

Very spacious and beautiful house.

Solveig’s place had everything for our large group of 7 adults and 5 kids. Lots of space and mattresses in the house. Comfortable beds and cozy rooms. There were toys for the kids and kitchen had everything that we needed. Beautiful views and church bells in the evenings were very special!!

House is amazing, very big and comfortable. Equipped just like in my own home, it had everything we needed. The location is great (I had a car), right at the center of Switzerland and in the vicinity of pretty much every trendy place in Switzerland (1 hour drive at max) House sits right on the lake so when it’s warm outside you can go swimming or just walk along the lake All over, I can definitely tell this is the best Airbnb I’ve ever had.

All we can say is WOW! What a gem Brienz is! Such a perfect spot for our group - homey, sparkling clean, great kitchen and entertainment areas to eat and hang out, and super walkable to the train stations and the lake. We would 110% recommend it and stay again!

We had a great time during our stay! The house was exactly as described—clean, spacious, and tidy. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay, from the fully equipped kitchen to the cozy living spaces. The location was perfect, close to all the major cities and tourist spots, making it easy to explore. One of the highlights was the stunning view of the mountains and waterfalls—absolutely breathtaking! The host was fantastic—very collaborative and responsive, answering all of our questions promptly and ensuring we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a hassle-free, comfortable getaway.

Manu‘s place is a fantastic modern two bedroom apartment with a fantastic garden terrace that has a nice view of Lake Luzern. It is easy walking distance to all of the attractions that Vitznau has to offer including a fantastic beach that Manu pointed out (not obvious to a visitor), the train and ferry station. It is a very peaceful low key village and an easy drive to the larger villages for shopping (there is a small adequately stocked Volg there). Manu went out of his way to ensure everything was right (including a gift) and even came back at night to help us trouble shoot the oven which was quite foreign to a US visitor. I highly recommend Manu‘s apartment and we plan to be back for some great swimming and biking.

THIS IS A HIDDEN GEM…. PERFECT IN EVERY WAY!!!! You cannot find a more beautiful place, a more respectful, responsive and hospitable hosts and staff, a cleaner apartment and a more stunning sunset in anywhere else ! The location is great and very peaceful with walking and hiking paths all around, and about 20 minutes away from Luzern ! I can not thank Nathalie and her dad, Mr. Hoffman enough for making our one month stay at their place comfortable, enjoyable and memorable! Our dog was also warmly welcomed and had an amazing time ! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AND WOULD LOVE TO GO BACK TO IT AGAIN!

A wonderful stay. The place was immaculate, spacious and with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Some great bits for young children to keep them entertained as well. The highlight was the garden and magnificent view over the lake, breathtaking! We were even treated to a fireworks display launched off a boat in the middle of the lake. Marlene a very friendly and helpful host, spoke excellent English too. Would highly recommend.

Astrid is a wonderful host, with warm and friendly communication and a thoughtful welcome gift on arrival. Her place is beautifully appointed and was a perfect place for me to decompress after a long flight. Little touches like the exquisite Swiss soaps and shampoo, and the über feminine giant fluffy pink cloud chair made my stay all the more luxuriant and cosy. Kitchen is fitted with everything you need to cook up a storm (I tried my hand at lovsl cuisine: rösti and Zurcher Geschnetzeltes and was able yo purchase all ingredients at the lixdl supermarket. A short walk to the lake, where you can refresh with a cold swim if you're game. I highly recommend Astrid as a host and her beautiful abode.

David and Tabea’s apartment is great. It’s spacious, warm,very well equipped and immaculately presented. The view over lake Lucerne is wonderful and the apartment is surrounded very low density properties with large green spaces . Nice walks start from the property and once the narrow approach road has been passed there is easy access to numerous locations of interest.

The accommodation is in a great location and the village is beautiful. The apartment is clean and well furnished, with a very well-equipped kitchen. Beautiful view and quiet area. Great for short stays and perfect for a couple! We had a good time and I highly recommend it.

Definitely one of the best places I've stayed in, highly recommended if you're traveling with your family, with small children, as it has furniture for children, the place is very close to the Titlis cable car, which is very convenient, and many details in the apartment that make your stay amazing.
