Robin's place is a gem - cosy, charming, spotlessly clean, meticulously organised (with the best instructions I've ever seen for a house!), and in a beautiful setting. The best bit for us, though, was that we were on a fungi hunting holiday and Robin's lawn turned out to be a cornucopia of edible delights. We hope to stay again.

The Beeches was a beautiful retreat from the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh for us - wonderful to get away into the Highlands in winter and have a warm and welcoming place to call our own. Gareth and his dogs welcomed us on arrival. Everything was clean and ready for us, no issues whatsoever. We were delighted to find a small breakfast package along with some cookies waiting for us! The house was nice and warm, comfortably furnished and full-featured. This location would be excellent to use as a base to explore the Highlands. It’s one hour to Inverness, close to distilleries, and the Cairngorms themselves. Newtonmore provided us with supplies and fuel, and for fans of cats you can follow the famous Wildcat Trail around town, which is easily walkable from The Beeches. Gareth was very responsive and welcoming, and the use of the washer and dryer downstairs very helpful too. Would highly recommend this to any visitors, and we’d love to stay again!

We so enjoyed staying at Sophie and Cristian’s flat. They are a delightful couple with charming children. The location is on a quiet street within walking distance of the town, and steps away from hiking trails. It’s a perfect base for exploring the Cairngorms without having to put up with crowds of tourists and shops everywhere.

Great space to relax in and call home for a while. Old Post Office Cafe in town is TRULY AMAZING. In the other direction down the path and a beautiful walk is the Dalraddy area.. Food truck Coyote Cook House — DELICIOUS!! Beautiful paths leading to beautiful scenery.
