Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in New Hampshire

Mountain fare inn is a hidden gem in the beautiful state of New Hampshire! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back. Highlights for us were the open spaces in the backyard where we played soccer, warm home made breakfast spread with coffee in the morning that always gave us a good start to the day!

We had a wonderful stay in a charming 1700s-era home, filled with historical features that made it warm and inviting. Our host, David, was exceptionally gracious, meeting us late in the evening and accommodating our request for breakfast to go, including options for my wife's lactose intolerance. I highly recommend David's inn.

The place is lovely and quite well maintained. The breakfast is good and suitable for our needs. The room we received is spacious and adjacent to the river and includes a beautiful large space equipped with appropriate equipment. The flooring is slightly damaged in the entry room and needs attention. The facilities including the laundry room are excellent.

If you’re looking for quiet. This is the place! The nature, the building, all of it was excellent. I felt safe as a solo female traveller to stay here. The accommodations are exactly as listed. The yoga studio is lovely and the whole place is very clean. I would for sure stay here again.

What a magical weekend at this Bed & Breakfast. Our stay was incredible, not only due to the beautiful location, the amazing views of Mount Washington from this location but also the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. They were not exaggerated! Victoria always responded quickly to any questions that we asked. All recommendations for dinner, shopping and driving instructions were top notch. Some of the above and beyond - when we came home from a concert we were attending they had lit the fireplace for us to enjoy. Simply perfect. The breakfasts that were prepared were WONDERFUL! Recommend everyone to take the time to really appreciate this location. I don’t think you’ll find another that has so much to offer. George and Victoria have a beautiful home, and we appreciate very much them opening their doors and allowing us to be their guests.

Loved having coffee in the sun room! Although we were there for a very short time, it was so nice to have a comfortable, elegant place to stay that wasn't a hotel while we visited town for our daughter's parent's weekend. Wonderful stay at the Inn! We were visiting family on Squam Lake, the Inn was a great location! Easy check in, clean, comfortable and we had a delicious breakfast. We won’t hesitate to stay here again the next time we’re visiting Holderness.

Sheila (and Bill and David) felt like family from the start. The most gracious hosts ever. They have immense pride in what they do and their Inn, as they should! They treated us so well, homemade food, conversations, access to anything we wanted to feel at home and happy during our stay. The eating area promoted meeting other guests, but if you choose to be alone they respect that as well. Our plans changed a few times and Sheila was very flexible and understanding! Lovely owners. Lovely stay!!

Super friendly inn keepers and helpful staff! We were given lots of suggestions for things to do and places to check out. The jacuzzi tub in the room was large and super relaxing. The location was great and very peaceful. The only complaint I have was that the ceiling fans had a ton of dust on them and we were located right next to the entrance of the inn, so we could constantly hear the front door slamming.

What a GEM! My parents used to stay here when I attended college at Franklin Pierce University so when I went back for a visit I decided to give it a try. Wow! First off all it’s on a cute and quiet street walking distance to a pond, hiking trail, and my fav restaurant Emma’s 321. Judy & Gene are great hosts - it’s like coming home. The place is spotless. You have the option to pay and add breakfast which I highly recommend. Gene gets the wood burning stove going and makes a breakfast from scratch while I drink good coffee by the fire. Judy is the sweetest friend you just want to tell all your secrets to. Come here if you want to feel warm, safe, and filled up. ❤️

Susan is one of those rarities you find out in travels with a welcoming demeanor, helpful suggestions and a person who creates a connection to the history of the place. That connection is to both the Inn you are staying at and the area you are staying in. She is a true Inn Keeper rather than someone who provides short term room rentals and there is a world of difference between those two types of people. Her kindness was endless and we really enjoyed her ability to connect and then take care of business. The breakfasts were delicious and thoughtful including homemade dishes from local sources. Beds were comfortable, sitting areas were well supplied with games and books and rules were fairly and politely enforced so that all guests received the same great experience. One of our favorite all time stays!

Our stay at Jason's place was fantastic - check-in was flexible and easy, the property was easy to find and convenient to the surrounding area, the room was cozy, comfortable, and peaceful, and breakfast the next morning was exceptional. Jason was a responsive host, his breakfast staff were friendly and helpful, and his chef Wanita is an excellent cook. We won't hesitate to return the next time we visit the area!

Bjorn and Elaine are wonderful hosts of a beautiful, historic site. The house itself is rich with lovely historic details including wide plank floors that one would never see, old glass, incredible wood beams, and more. Bjorn and Elaine could not have been more welcoming and kind. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return should we find ourselves at the beautiful lake in the future. Highly recommended. You won't be disappointed!

Everything about our stay was fantastic. Wendy and Dean (and Malibu and Maple) were incredibly friendly and helpful hosts. Wendy's French toast and the farm fresh eggs were the perfect start to every day, and they were both more than happy to provide excellent recommendations about where to eat, hike, visit, and more. The grounds and the house were beautiful and peaceful. We'd definitely stay here again next time we're in southern New Hampshire!!

Susan was an absolute gem. She was so pleasant to chat with and answered all of our questions about recommendations. She personally made us and all guests breakfast every morning which was absolutely delicious, her muffins are out of this world! The location was so peaceful and beautiful with amazing views of the mountains and on a quiet road. The room was very cozy and clean. The location is only 20ish minutes away from the White Mountains which is a prime spot for hiking and biking. I will definitely be staying here again!

The hosts at The Blue Bear Inn are such friendly and welcoming people! Beautiful setting (you can't beat the mountain views). Our room was clean and the decor was updated but still quaint. Having a tavern on site is next level! We stay at a lot of bed and breakfast places, and while the breakfasts are always good, the options at night can be lacking. Not the case here. Great food and cocktails! We can't wait to visit next month and do some skiing at Crotched Mountain (5 minutes away) and come back to the Inn for some warm winter cocktails and relaxation.

Bjorn and Elaine know how look after their guests. It was a pleasure to stay with them whilst exploring the White Mountains region. They gave good food recommendations nearby, made me extra coffee for my flask and asked me about the adventures I had been on. Perfect hosting! The room was super clean and comfortable with space to park the car and lovely indoor and outdoor areas for guests to enjoy a coffee or a beer. Will stay there again if I’m in town.

We had a wonderful stay at CML. This place is a MUST stay. Very clean and well appointed kitchen. We can’t wait to come back.

We had a wonderful stay. The place is serene and so beautiful. Bjorn and Elaine are such a lovely couple, very accommodating and entertaining. The breakfast was perfect and coffee is amazing! Overall, I highly recommend this place.

We had an amazing stay! The inn is beautiful… We took advantage of common spaces to play games, do puzzles, have a glass of wine by a cosy fire. They very graciously upgraded our room. The full breakfast is a huge added bonus… It was delicious and very accommodating to food restrictions. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We ended our days of hiking with a well needed soak in the hot tub! Without hesitation I would recommend staying here and would certainly stay again if we are in the area.

Lisa is an incredible host, truly has earned her superhost status. If I lived in NH, I would want Lisa as my friend for sure. She is an incredible cook too, best homemade breakfast I ever ate and delicious coffee. Her husband Greg was so nice too. He started a fire in our room each night. Super friendly as well. Very enjoyable visit at Copper Pot! We loved it Gwen the kitty cat is gorgeous

The Inn was a great location and very peaceful. The hot tub was clean and hot! We enjoyed out night and would definitely like to return to stay in the main inn.
