This airbnb was a highlight of our trip. Came here to hike devil’s staircase to the waterfall. The view through the valley and all the way out to Udawalawe national park is stunning. And the staff there were so attentive always offering tea and offering to pack a breakfast when we were going on a hike early in the AM which was really helpful. The room was simple and clean and cool at night due to being in the mountains. Cool enough i wore a sweater outside. Food was delicious, sri lankan dinner was one of our best on the trip. They also provided insider knowledge on local hikes which was great when we had an extra morning and wanted to get one more hike in. Note that it is not easy to get to! Recommend either hiring an SUV or being dropped at the train station and going the rest of the way by tuk tuk which can handle the uneven road and steep decline much better. Overall highly recommend

We had a wonderful stay with Ru, Mike, their friendly team, and their beautiful dogs. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel at home with homemade ginger beer and the best coffee we’ve had in Sri Lanka. Our room was spacious and comfy with stunning valley views. The grounds are incredible—lush gardens, a large pool, and rolling hills. Ru gave us a lovely tour of the estate, introducing us to the animals and sharing her knowledge of the plants and spices used in their delicious meals. Her cooking was outstanding—like having a private chef! We also loved the cooking demo with her mum, followed by a Sri Lankan feast. Breakfasts were unforgettable, with fresh local twists and pastries worthy of Paris. Mike and Ru were generous, insightful hosts and helped us explore the area, including Lipton’s Seat, a tea factory, and Diyaluma Falls. The view from this house is priceless. We could have spent hours starring at the view. If we walk a short distance downhill, we can see the Gregory Lake. There are grocery shop at the beginning of the road. Nonetheless, this place was very peaceful as well as beautiful. We had a great stay in Nuwara Eliya.

We booked Cheshan's place in less than 12 hours before arriving. The host quickly replied to our questions. He and the caretaker were very helpful and agreed to take our luggage for storage before checking in. The place itself is lovely and within walkable distance to the center and the lake. The apartment is in the new building with underground parking and a pub nearby. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Highly recommend this apartment for fellow travelers.

The garden and the view is amazing and can’t be better. Surrounded by nature and nature sounds. Everything is green. Very isolated but only 5 minutes walk to the street where you can get a Tuktuk. You can’t expect a western standard of furnitures and house. You are surrounded by birds, bats, cats… amazing. But as you are in the middle of nature also ants, insects. The owner cooked twice for us, also went to the groceries and cleaned the kitchen. He prepared fantastic meals. All this free of Charge !! Unbelievable. He helps with everything you need and is available 24/7
