We couldn’t have imagined returning just three months after our first visit, but this place has a way of calling you back. If autumn here, with its art festival, felt like a vibrant painting I’d love to revisit in my memories, then winter transformed it into a breathtaking crystal world—an experience we’ll cherish forever. What truly made our stay unforgettable was the owner’s incredible kindness and generosity. When public transportation was canceled, leaving us stranded in the snowy world, he went above and beyond to ensure we were safe and comfortable. His reassuring words, “大丈夫です,” always put our minds at ease, no matter the weather or circumstances. Moreover, the homemade dinner and breakfast were absolutely delightful, adding warmth and flavor to our stay. We are deeply grateful for his hospitality and support, which turned what could have been a challenging situation into a heartwarming adventure. Thank you for everything—we can’t wait to return!

My group and I had an amazing stay in Okome’s home. We especially were very pleased with the sleeping and common area. Very traditional Japanese home that had a cute charm with small trinkets scattered throughout. The home also had plenty of heaters to keep us plenty warm on the cold winter night. Overall we were very impressed with the home and would recommend others to stay here!

It was a clean and very beautiful place.The explanation was polite, and we were able to visit with peace of mind.

If you need a place to stay near Tokamachi station, Sakura house is perfect. Everything is exactly as described. This was our 3rd stay and (first time in winter). It was great no complaints. Lovely host.
