The house is beautifully traditional but modern with lots of lighting and amenities including washing machine and automatic bathtub. I would return here if I'm back in Kyoto.

The host, Yu, is very nice, the room is clean and tidy, the surrounding environment of the house is beautiful, the explanation on the day of check-in is clear, overall it is very recommended!

Our stay at Jinns place was wonderful. The house is even better than the photos and easily walkable to many beautiful sites. Jinn is a fantastic host and everything about our stay exceeded expectations. Highly recommend staying here instead of central Kyoto! Best Airbnb we’ve stayed in and we have stayed in a lo.

My stay at Haruya guesthouse was nothing short of exceptional and magical! Harufumi and Yumi went absolutely above and beyond to make sure I got to the Airbnb safe & sound and were very friendly, kind and helpful throughout my stay. The mountain hikes were incredible and their dog Lily guided me up the mountains and back to which was very cute and she was such a great buddy to have around! The decor and setting of the guesthouse is sure to make you feel cozy and appreciative of such a beautiful place. I enjoyed talking with the hosts and exchanging music recommendations. I would absolutely stay here again, with a week minimum next time!

K's Villa was the best stay I have ever had despite travelling all around the world. The hospitality was exceptional, the stay itself was stunning and so accessible. The amenities were fantastic and the free bikes for use made visiting Kyoto phenomenonal. It's location on the river stood for some spectacular mornings and evenings and the quiet street it's located on was easy to find, just off a main road and near a 7/11 for late night snack trips. 10/10, will be booking again when I return to Kyoto.

We spent 10 days in this home away from home. What a joy to enter this harmonious and peaceful place. The bath ( onsen ) was a must in the evening after very busy days. We asked Sayumi for addresses to buy yukata , which gave us a great place. We will keep an exceptional memory of Kyoto and this wonderful accommodation.

Chris and Chie were wonderful hosts and the property itself lived up to all the expectations. This is a great option for anyone searching for a more traditional Japanese getaway with a modernized twist. The location is wonderful. My group and I were able to walk to many sites and restaurants and use public transportation with ease when needed. I would highly recommend this stay!

I stayed one night with two families and a few friends. We had a very beautiful and meaningful time as pictured. Thank you for your flexibility regarding check-in. I'd love to stay again if I get the chance.

Yoko’s home was large, beautifully modern and clean but with all the Japanese touches. Pillows and beds were super comfortable. Yoko was kind and hospitable and always available to answer questions. She showed particular concern when my son was ill and had to spend the day in bed. We only stayed two nights so didn’t have time to explore the local neighbourhood but it was less than a kilometre from the nearest train station, a few hundred metres from the nearest bus stop and walking distance to kinkakuji golden temple.
