Very good value for the area and super lovely hostess. Clean, spacious and quiet place overlooking the mountains and river and with lots of lovely extras: local ‘coca’ from the bakery in the kitchen when we arrived, coffee ground to make the most of the fancy barrista coffee machine, premium olive oil and vinegar as well as a section of spices. The only people it wouldn’t be ideal for would be 1) tall (>1.8m) people who want to stay for a while and use the kitchen a lot as the ceiling is low there 2) people who care a lot about water pressure (typical of old buildings). Would really recommend staying here for climbers, it even has the local guidebook!

Our stay was short, but no less perfect. From the first moment, María Pilar made us feel at home with her kindness, closeness and attention to every detail. The place was spotless, everything was very clean and tidy, and the beds... wonderful! Super comfortable, ideal for recharging. Merchandise has created a place that breathes a very beautiful balance of tradition, sensitivity and loves what is done. Unlike other homes we have been to this is a note that behind there is a person who far from merely wanting to speculate offers a family space to be enjoyed and in return to maintain. I highly recommend staying.

An excellent weekend in Penelles, in a charming, pleasant accommodation and hosted by a considerate hostess concerned about the well-being of her guests. Very nice!
