Family-friendly vacation rentals in Medina de Pomar

We were looking for a place to rest, disconnect, enjoy and savor big and small moments in the company of our children, friends and little dogs, and we were right. We felt right at home on vacation. The wonderful views, the places and beaches...awesome, the house phenomenal and the Hoster, Ricardo, at all times attentive to what we were doing well. It's been a wonderful week!

Antonio is a fantastic host. Super responsive and very helpful especially with recommendations for local walks and for helping with animal health certificate requirements for returning to the UK. The house was big enough for the 11 of us and there was plenty for all of us to do for the whole week we were there. Any issues we had were resolved incredibly quickly by Antonio. Just a short walk from the house is a lovely little cafe that sells baguettes, coffee and some alcohol - very reasonably priced but please note only takes cash which caught us out on our first visit. We visited Balmaseda a couple of times which has an incredible bakery which I would very much recommend. The train station is less than 5 minutes walk but we didn’t get the train whilst we were there - it may have been quicker to get to bilbao and something to check out if you visit again. Everything is amazing and David is a great host

Our stay in this cottage was unbeatable. From the first moment we felt super comfortable: the house is even better in person than in the photos, with a careful decor and a cozy atmosphere. It is fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable and worry-free stay. Also, the host was very attentive at all times, making sure we didn't miss anything. Without question, a totally recommended experience. We'll be back for sure!

wonderful. the apartment is un gozado and the jacuzzi great, after hiking in the bush, is the best gift. The host is always attentive to all the details and we were able to go at the time that was good for us to have no customers the next day, it is a detail. We will definitely return because the area plays a lot: Mt, Ferrata, caves, etc.

the "Casa del abuelo" is located in the heart of Cantabria in a green setting with all the necessary amenities. For our group of 9 people with children, it had enough rooms and a beautiful view. In the heart of nature and less than an hour from the famous cabarceno animal park; the different caves in the region, and the most beautiful beaches in the region ( La Salvé de Laredo, El Sardinero de Santander,... ) With a strong identity, Ana has provided all the documentation of interesting places in the area. We have books and board games in abundance. In this cottage, you can enjoy the scenery and walk or drive to tourist places: Castro urduales, san vicente de la barquera,... On the other hand , a car is absolutely necessary.

We've spent two days on Christmas 12 adults, a boy and two dogs and it's been great. The house was as seen in the photos. The kitchen in the house downstairs is huge and we were able to eat all together without problems. Communication with Asier was quick and easy, he answered all our questions with infinite patience. I recommend it 100%.

The house is just like the photos, it has everything... It was a pleasure to share with the family a few days there, the great location to be able to visit different beaches as villages around, we will definitely repeat again! Also thank you for waiting on arrival as at departure and especially to you Pedro for answering all my questions before traveling. 100% recommended

It was wonderful, we were a big group and we don't have a single complaint. We loved it and would come back if possible.

At the top of the mountain, access with a suitable car and with space for parking. Very nice views, the house is spacious, comfortable and clean. Clear directions to get in and gave us flexibility to leave later. We lack time to enjoy it more but we had a great time. Highly recommended!!!!

Everything was great with Marta, the house was as described and she was a very nice girl. The area has many things to do even though it did not accompany the time. Their dogs León and Gyda are also suns My pleasure

Gema and her husband Alvares were very available and kind during our stay. We spent Christmas in this place with my wife and our 2 dogs and all these went very well. We even managed to eat adults without a problem. The house is vintage with all the essentials to spend a quiet week there (shower, 2wc, kitchen, wifi, tv, DVD player,...), it has a strong charm. The village is very quiet with a good bakery smell when you walk around. In conclusion, it was a very nice stay.

A lot of Cantabria is quite a drive away, but that is the trade off for being so tucked away in the mountains! We had a peaceful and relaxing stay here, thank you Jordi and Lydia.

The apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable. The communication with the host was fast and easy. We had no problems at all.

if you want to disconnect from everything surrounded by nature this is the perfect place, everything is better than good ,we were super comfortable the house a pass of pretty and everything is great, thank you emelina for letting us have an amazing weekend.

We loved staying at Teresa’s place. It was convenient to the museums, restaurants, all kinds of stores and markets…We felt completely safe and comfortable. The living room(s) kitchen and dining room are a long hallway away from the bedrooms, so we didn’t have to worry about waking each other up by moving around—a nice bonus. We’d definitely stay there again.

Verónica very attentive even from before arrival…always pending and giving recommendations. The apartment is very quiet,cozy and enough for 1 or 2 people. Easy pedestrian access or if you are driving. If I come back I will definitely contact you again.

We have taken a family trip and are all delighted with the accommodation. The house is in a very quiet area, ideal for children. Also the host was very friendly and was responding to us immediately. Totally recommended!

The apartment matches the description. Very comfortable for a family with children. It was very clean and tidy. José Luis is a very good host, he gave us clear instructions and received us late at night. The location is very good for exploring the area.

Very friendly and discreet people, they make you feel at home since you arrive. Their dogs are fantastic and the family's treatment of ours was wonderful, where they were able to enjoy a lot of the large enclosed plot they have, with total freedom. The super cozy home, has all the comforts and more, a small retreat to unwind and enjoy. The area where they are, impressive in beautiful, you need to return to be able to discover all its charms. We cost a lot, since the GPS sends you on the more complicated side, we were able to talk to the girl and I help us a lot, since I tell us the best way to climb, the cabin is a wonder, very comfortable, the spectacular views and the girl is very friendly

We absolutely loved our stay! The area and property is so beautiful and peaceful. The house is enormous for a home in Spain. It’s well decorated with antiques and the beds were comfy and firm. The owners were friendly and welcoming. We had local friends over for lunch and had a magical meal on the terrace, they were all in awe of the place.
