The place is described as luxury and it is fitting. Upon arrival the modern look of the building is set nicely among the well cultivated garden and shimmering blue pool. As you ascend the stairs and enter the unit you are met with a tasteful collection of classic art and furnishings decorating modern styling with high end finishes.

Louise is the perfect host and the very cozy studio with great kitchen, great bathroom and amazing views made the short stay in Johannesburg a pleasure.

I've had a series of beautiful stays at this apartment over the last 9 months. Its always felt like coming home to a safe community. The hosts are great, service great and a super comfortable long stay. I really appreciate the solar power and its off the grid set up, especially with the Joburg power and water crisis.

Jaco and Nomsa were wonderful hosts. The Lighthouse was the perfect roundup to a rather busy trip to one of my favorite cities. The Lighthouse itself is really well positioned in “Meldene” (Westdene) right next to Melville and only a stone’s throw away from 44 Stanley, Maboneng, Rosebank etc. The views from the Apartment balcony are stunning. Perfect for the early morning coffee or late afternoon glass of wine…. Had as an added benefit an impromptu South African Braai and a bottle of wine or two with Jaco while there Hands down one of my favorite AirBnB experiences!
