Family-friendly vacation rentals in Mbezi Beach, Dar es Salaam

The best location opposite Slipway the Entertainement hub for Masaki, loads of bars, shops and restaurants and every other place charge huindreds of dollars a night to be close to here and Irene's place is across the road for much cheaper and good value for money. Very clean, secure place and even though across from slipway, its quiet at night. Great place and enjoy coming back again and again.

Very nice apartment, close to pretty much everything. We had a couple issues with the bathroom and the maintenance guys were very quick to do the repair. I will definerly look to stay here when l return in March if it's available.

I highly recommend staying at Justa's place! Sinza is a very lively, authentic neighborhood with lots of fruit and vegetable stalls, small restaurants and very friendly people. Location is great and close to the university but a little bit further from the city centre. We felt welcome from the very first second. Thanks again, also especially to John, Helen, Maviki ad of course Justa!

Irene was extremely helpful and flexible with my husband and I as our travel plans changed a few times. Her responsiveness was much appreciated.

We brought a large group to stay at Prisca's place for two weeks. Prisca was very communicative and extremely accommodating. She purchased additional mattresses, sheets, and towels for our group. She purchased a water dispenser for us when we requested one. There were some problems in the house during our stay (which is common in Tanzania), but her local staff were quick to help us. The house is massive and can accommodate a lot of people and has A/Cs and water heaters throughout. The kitchen is big but not particularly well stocked; we needed to buy a bunch of our own utensils in order to properly cook for so many people. The location is pretty far north of Dar, but it was worth it for the great price and Prisca's great service.

This place deserves more than 5 stars. We spend 6 days with our 5 kids (age between 5 and 11) here and everybody had a great The house is located at such a beautiful place directly at the beach. It is clean and everything what you need is there also the kitchen has everything you need. Sulai is a great help and when you have any questions he can help. He took our kids with into the village to get coconuts and papaya and showed them how to open them. He also organised a local breakfast and dinner made by the woman from the village. The food is amazing you should really try it. Our kids got Henna tattoos also made by one of the woman from the village. In the evening our kids played with the local kids at the beach. We really enjoyed the fact that your not stuck between huge resorts but you can enjoy Zanzibar and meet the local people and experience their culutre. The communication with the Bakar Family was great. All our questions got answered quick and help was provided when needed.

We rented a two floor apartment at Villa Mina for a month. It was spacious and had all we needed for a comfortable stay. The views from both balconies were spectacular. There were loungers and beds to use which gave a little extra privacy from the beach sellers. Lots of choice of nearby restaurants. Breakfasts were excellent with coffee and freshly made fruit juice, fruit, eggs to order and a variety of pastries and breads. There is a swimming pool that can be used about a 5-minute walk away, which my girls enjoyed. Mina and everyone there are very friendly and will help with anything you ask. They made us very welcome. It felt like a home-from-home, only with a spectacular beach in front. We would love to return and hopefully will!

The best managed airbnb I have stayed at! If you are looking for a less touristy spot in Zanzibar, and a place to unwind, walk the beach, chill in the beautiful garden, dip and cool in the pool and enjoy tasty meals, this is your place. We stayed with our two year old and she enjoyed the surrounding, the beachfront and exploring the sea puddles at low tide. We’d happily return as soon as we get the chance. Thank you, Lisa and team

Kuza cave centre is a unique space. Staying got us access to the caves, and it was nice to see at different points in the day. We also saw Sykes monkeys around the compound, and there are bush babies too. The staff are warm and welcoming. They invited us to a local party night which was very good. (Red Monkey Crazy Monday’s).

Diana was really easy to contact and was really helpful. I loved the apartment. It was huge with so much space, but the location was the best part. In such a good busy local area with amazing food all around

Amazing location with endless beachfront right out the front door. Tons of restaurants within a short walk. Pool was amazing, cleaning crew was super great, and cleaned multiple times a day. Included breakfasts were amazing, but we didn’t pay extra to eat lunch or dinner there, since almost all other nearby locations were cheaper.

This Airbnb was perfect for a getaway from Dar. It is far enough out to feel like you have traveled (but not too far to feel you can’t afford the travel expense). The rooms are so beautifully decorated with a mixture of old and new for a quaint, beach feel. The kitchen… oh I will dream of this kitchen for the rest of my life! The staff was helpful and kind. The communication was quick and clear. Need to get away but don’t want to go too far… this is the place for you!

Beautiful place, just as the pictures show. Super peaceful. Close to the beach. Nice yard with nice plants, chickens, fruit trees. Halima, Wase, and Jonas were very helpful and communicative. Only two small things to be mindful of: plan ahead with Halima on wifi and directions to the location (though my Uber may just have had trouble finding it). It didn’t take away from the experience at all and she was very helpful when I asked, but I could’ve been better about asking earlier. Regardless, I would 100% recommend the place and would love to come back

Me and my two boys we had a such great time while staying at Hans’s place.. We felt like home, the ocean view was beautiful from the living room to the bedrooms.. the apartment is very big and nice.. I will definitely stay at Hans’s place on my next visit..🙏🏿

Recommending for business and leisure travels, located in residential suburbs with all amenities available….closer to the restaurants and shopping malls , ATM’s and all type of transportation…We recommend Magdalena place

This was our fourth stay at Hans’ place. It’s become our go to landing place when visiting Dar. The location couldn’t be better with great restaurants nearby and a supermarket in the same building.

Me and my family completely fell in love with this apartment! The size of the apartment is incredible and was family friendly for our little boy to run around and feel free. The bedrooms were great size, and don’t get me started on the views, especially the view from the master bedroom balcony! We were more than happy on the location of this apartment as it was round the corner from a supermarket that’s friendly to both locals and foreigners. You are only a short taxi ride away from well known restaurants such as The Waterfront or the Seacliff hotel. The security downstairs made me feel safe, and once they were familiar with our faces, we always felt greeted with a friendly smile. The pool is covered from the sun, but we found this family friendly. My only constructive criticism is that it could do with a fresh lick of paint just to refresh and show off how stunning it really is. And some extra towels in the bedrooms. I will be booking again in future, thanks again Zain.

Zain is a superhost , he managed to stay in touch despite being holidays and Ramadhan and assisted when required.. a very nice place and which defines the name for Airbnb and it is very peaceful place with good surrounding ,Zain suggested us to take another apartment which was far from construction site which was a very nice gesture from him ..
