Carol is a wonderful host, she warms the house before we arrived and allows us to play with her cute Valais Blacknose. Highly recommended.”

“Delightful little cottage with so many lovely touches. The fire was on and relaxing music was playing when we arrived. The cottage has a fantastic view. It was only unfortunate that we had no clear skies for our visit. Kay was a kind and communicative host. The cottage is also great value as you are provided with breakfast as well. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.”

“This historic countryside cottage is centrally located in Canterbury, so if you're looking to do some hikes in the nearby area it's a great place to call home base for a few days. Not too far from the Christchurch area either, so you could get a day trip to the city into your itinerary as well. We loved the little cottage space, the yard, and the cows that came right up to the fence for a little visit. The stars at night are just incredible. Even the nearby town of Methven had some charming local haunts for a nightcap if you so choose. Would highly recommend, especially if you're interested in the local history, or if you want to drive along the gravel road to Edoras for the incredible views - so worth it.”
