When I asked something I didn't know, they responded very kindly, and there was a studio-like place inside, and it was very stylish and I had a very pleasant time in each room!

This was a great location close to the beach, in a quiet rural area. The home is rustic but has all of the amenities listed, including an annex with a western bedroom for those that may prefer to use the bunkbeds. We stayed in the main building which had a toilet at one end, shower at the other, with plenty of living space. We even made use of the washing machine! The futons were quite comfortable but given the age of the home and traditional constructions there was traffic noise evident at night. While we enjoyed our stay, this home is best suited for those under 5’8” tall…those of us around 6’ have to duck everywhere, especially in the kitchen.
A serene beach scene features gentle waves lapping at the shore, with a view of rolling hills on either side. The cloudy sky reflects a soft light across the calm water, creating a tranquil atmosphere near the coastline.

They were kind from check-in to check-out. We stayed with a 5-year-old and a 1-year-old, and they prepared baby supplies in advance and lent us toys. I had bread for breakfast, and the homemade strawberry jam used on the bread was very delicious. I'd love to visit again. Thank you!

The modern exterior features a sleek blue façade with light-colored accents. Notable is the symmetrical arrangement of windows and entrance, which is highlighted by a red door. A pathway adorned with decorative stones leads to the entrance, framed by minimal landscaping.

Maybe it's because it's newly built, but the accommodation was very tidy and nice! I came with a family of 6, and it was suitable~~ The host was very friendly, and there was a yakitori and a convenience store right nearby, so I was satisfied.👍🏻
The image showcases a serene coastal scene with gentle waves lapping against the shore. A characteristic boat floats in the foreground, while a larger vessel navigates the water. Lush hills envelop the distance, under a clear sky with soft clouds.

100 years traditional island cuisine and old life

PaulRating, 5 stars67 months ago
The hospitality and food were off the charts! The food was unexpectedly incredible and the best meals we experienced on our three week trip. OKUMA and his wife were perfect hosts. It felt like a homestay. The accommodation is traditional and simple and the somewhat remote location is a perfect respite from the hectic cities. We walked up into the hills and around the island and travelled to Saiki and Oita.
