Vacation rentals with a patio in Matala

My boyfriend and I stayed 5 days at Dimitris' place and were very happy with our stay. The highlight of the apartment is definitely the view. Several beaches can be reached on foot. There are many taverns in Agia Pelagia. However, the location is also good for exploring the island. For example, we were in Matala, Heraklion and Rethymno. The apartment was very well equipped, there was nothing missing. Dimitris was always available and responded quickly to our questions. A booklet with information and recommendations was available on site. Dimitris was very friendly and accommodating. Overall, we would recommend the apartment!

The apartment is spacious and the terrace is very large with electronic canopy. The hot tub was well heated and very clean, including an outdoor shower on the terrace. The sunset is beautiful to watch from the terrace and the restaurants are within walking distance. The access road is adventurous, but doable. Very quiet neighborhood and beach about 100 meters away.

Honestly Manos was an incredible host always checking in and ensuring we had everything that we needed. Highly recommend!

Stavros was fantastic, as was the history of this wonderful place. Rethymno was a beautiful town and we explored everywhere on foot. We decided on walking in the morning and then having a late lunch (each lunch was fantastic) and walking back up the hill to have a light supper on the deck at sunset. Beautiful and thank you so much for the care you put into your house to make it a wonderful experience.

A very nice apartment with everything you need. Right on the beach. View from the balcony is simply fantastic, we enjoyed having breakfast there every morning. The car could be parked easily on the street. Would book the apartment again at any time without ifs and buts.

If you’re trying to decide, just book it! This was probably my favorite place in Greece that we stayed. Great location, wonderful terrace. Well equipped kitchen. Lots of little extras that made us feel at home like creamer for coffee, toast with jam and honey. Wash machine was a bonus. Great communication. Would book again without hesitation!

Fantastic accommodation in the centre of the old town. Clean, great breakfast and helpful, friendly staff. Highly recommended. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

A short walk from downtown Kalyves, but far removed from the hustle and bustle of the town of Kalyves. Several good places to eat, with some services such as medical and a pharmacy, a couple small markets with enough provisions. The location had absolutely amazing views of the bay of Souda, very private and quiet. The property is secured by an electric gate, to keep wandering tourists away, in that this accommodation appears historical in nature, maybe all that’s left of an old kastelli, based on the rock walls. I could be wrong, but I would guess that the actual accommodation is what used to be the powder magazine for the old fort. We enjoyed the place immensely.

A little piace of heaven! This is not just an incredibly beautiful villa with a gorgeous garden and pool. There comes so much more with this stunning location, from the peaceful surroundings to Irina's attention to detail and kindness. If you are looking for a place to relax, recharge and enjoy Crete far from tourist spots in complete privacy this is your place.

We had a great time at Eleni's. The accommodation is in the pretty village of Kamilari, very quiet and cozy. Both the restaurants and the mini market can be reached on foot. The house has just been renovated, it is large (there were two of us) and cozy. Very clean accommodation, in perfect condition. Very well equipped, with everything you need: bath towels, beach towels, kettle, coffee machine, courtesy set in the bathroom with very good products, super fantastic shower! A few kilometers away, the famous Matala beach and Kalamaki beach, equipped with umbrellas and deckchairs. In Kommos, on the other hand, there is a free beach. Eleni was very kind and always available when we called her. It was a fantastic vacation, thank you Eleni!

Me and my family of 4 (kids 13 and 8) had a terrific time at the Eco House. A very light, clean house on spacious premises with a superview over the Lybian Sea, and under an immense sky full of stars. We had diner on the terrace, used the firegrill outside. Agios Pavlos was our favorite beach with a tasty taverna and superfriendly staff (a 10 minute drive). We made trips to Agia Galini, Knossos, Rethymnon, the mountains, monasteries and many other beaches, all within 20 minutes to max 1,5 hour driving distance. I rented a mountainbike and cycled the challenging peaks and routes in the beautiful, green area. I highly recommend the place and the host was extremely helpful over the phone and e-mail when we needed some info.

We had some incredibly quiet moments, the villa matches the photos. Note that the occupants of the villa above can see you, which bothered us a lot, and that if there are children in the house next door it takes away a bit from the alone in the world feeling with the noise. If not, it's great.

We can only agree with the many positive reviews. We had a great time in the beautiful mountain village – it was a special experience. Every morning we had breakfast on the rooftop and enjoyed the tranquility. At first we thought we would miss the sea, but that was not the case at all. We really managed to relax – walks in the area were enough. We actually planned to do more, but we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere so much that we took it easy. Nevertheless, we were traveling by car and made some nice trips, including to the coast, where we discovered great restaurants. A vacation that will stay with us in very good memory. We spent a week at Eva's place, in a very quiet location surrounded by nature - including beautiful views of the sea. The nearest beach is within walking distance, tamarisk trees even provide shade for longer stays. The nearby village of Lendas has nice taverns and 2 small mini-markets for everyday items. Eva is a very friendly and helpful hostess. The atmosphere in the accommodation, with other residents, is cozy and pleasant. The lovingly furnished amenities of the room offer everything you need in everyday life and are also very comfortable for just lingering. We will be happy to come back.

The location is special, we celebrated it. Beautifully located. Totally quiet and a little off the beaten path. We were feeling absolutely safe. The local restaurants were just open at the beginning of May - it's village-like. Car is necessary. The prices fair, the people friendly. Visiting free-living cats. A cat has born her kittens near the accommodation and feels part of the house. The first micromarket is 5 minutes away, in Gazi (10 min) there are larger shopping opportunities. The bathroom is small and like everything about the house lovingly designed. From the height of 180 cm, the use of the toilet requires some flexibility because of the legroom. The house is a dream if you want to relax and come down.

Wow! We went to a bachelorette party 4 girls and it was simply amazing! George was long before the trip spoke to me on whatsapp and was available for all my questions. Booked us a taxi from the airport that arrived just on time and everything was very clear through whatsapp. Also at the entrance to the property, George received us, took luggage ( until check-in) and kept them in a secure room. The property is stunning and just right,cozy, clean, quiet neighborhood and right next to all the fun - exactly five minutes walking distance. Buy us some nibbles that were waiting for us in the room, was always available for questions and recommendations for us and even made me really good and took me a ride to the massage he had booked for me in advance in the area. Really was just perfect. I really recommend to anyone who wants to clear their minds and get reliable and professional service above and beyond.

Very nice apartment in a very good location, close to the sea, shops and restaurants. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need. Marirena provided me with all the clear and accurate information as soon as I arrived. I spent almost 3 weeks there, a real joy, I would go back without hesitation! Very nice accommodation with its large balcony. It's nice to be greeted and to have breakfast available. Very good location to visit most of the must-see places. Recommended!

Fabulous attentive host. Light bright spacious apartment with a lift. Generous welcome pack , great walk in shower, large extremely comfortable beds and nice fresh linen. Large Windows and sliding doors onto two terraces , one with the hot tub! Sunset and sea views from both terraces. Close to bars and restaurants with Indigos our favourite just across the road on the beach front. We hired a car from the host and went on an adventure. Definitely the way to see Crete! The mountainous centre is fantastic and you get to discover other great places. Recommend Evita beach Bali which is just 30 mins along the coast. Truly a piece of heaven. Very sad to leave!!! Anna was a super helpful host. We worked from her place for a week. The apartment was perfect for what we needed. It’s only a short walk into town - which is very charming. The beach across the road has crystal clear water - even if there is some debris on the sand. The road is a bit noisy - but the doors keep out the noise. Anna’s place is spacious and very well appointed with everything you could need. Thanks to Anna for the late check out as well!

George is the man. The experience was great —from showing us the space to keeping communication open in case we needed anything, he was always available. The place is in a quiet area of Knossos, just off the main road that leads into the city center. a few places are within walking distance, including a supermarket, but I’d recommend having a car. A big plus is the restaurant downstairs— authentic place that offers live music on fridays
