Chalet vacation rentals in Maryland

Large fun place right by the state park. We were visiting for a mountain bike race that started at the lake by the discovery center. This house was the perfect location. Hot tub was great after the race. Lots of space for teens and parents and dogs. Rustic and comfy.

The Kendall Retreat was a lovely getaway. The property is exactly as described. Based on the location, you get the best of both worlds: seclusion and peace as well as a very short drive to Deep Creek and all of the activities it entails. The home was welcoming, comfortable, and very clean. The hosts made sure you had everything you needed for your stay, and the recommendations were extremely helpful. We would highly recommend this home if you’re looking to escape to DCL!

The house is beautiful in a private area with a lot of natural light. Host was responsive if needed. Not far from Main Road to get to things to do. Friends that came with me are considering coming back to the same house.

Cheryl was a very responsive host with a beautiful venue -- it was private and peaceful but still close to the lake and a short drive to local coffee shops, breweries, and pizza. My kids got a kick out of the lofted bunk beds an spiral staircase. It was helpful that there was onsite laundry. Would stay again!

This was the perfect spot to visit with family. Extremely comfortable home in a private, wooded area. We saw tons of deer and enjoyed sitting in the hot tub amongst the woods watching a stunning sunset in the snow. Campfire was great with a smokeless fire pit which was perfect for s’mores! I can’t say enough about the kitchen!!!! It was stunning and HUGE!!! Well appointed with everything we needed. We will definitely be back here for our kids wedding.

Bracken Lodge was beautiful. More than enough space for our family weekend. It is in a very private setting with wildlife everywhere. Water access was very close but did require us to drive our kayaks to the adjacent road (2 min). Would not have been easy to carry that far through the woods. We would definitely stay again. Lake Effect was the perfect place for our family vacation. The family enjoyed it, we spent most of our time on the dock enjoying the lake and weather, which was amazing. Since I had to work a couple of hours a day before truly vacationing, the internet was somewhat an issue until I found out that if you are streaming on Samsung, the WiFi will be very in and out... so just don't turn on the TV until you are done with work or Streaming using the WiFi. Not sure also, it could have been Comcast, seeing that they have been having issues with their internet services throughout the state and Pa. We certainly were pleased and Paul and his wife were outstanding... We will be back. The Latchford's - Greg and Helen and Family

Our group of 12 enjoyed our winter weekend stay at Bella Vista. The kitchen is very well stocked - better than any Airbnb I’ve been to. Beds were comfortable, hot tub was spacious, and the game room was a hit with the kids. We appreciated the quick and thorough communication - especially tips on what to bring (hot tub towels, shower toil trees, etc). I would also recommend bringing toilet paper, paper napkins, and paper towels if you’re staying more than 2 nights. We’ll be back!

This place was absolutely lovely! Perfect for a large group weekend get away!

We had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful house. Everything was perfect and Andrew was very responsive! The house was well furnished with what we needed. A few minor things we needed (trash bags and propane) however it did not take away from the stay. Beautiful surroundings and lots to do. We will absolutely be back!

We stayed at this place for my bachelor weekend and got to do some nearby local food places and paintball. Alma was a fantastic host and had great response times within minutes to any of our questions and she consistently checked in with us throughout our stay. We had some issues with the electronic lock at the front door and she immediately gave us an alternative means into the home efficiently. She even sent us some Krispy Kreme donuts for the time spent which was above and beyond. We enjoyed those. The house has a gorgeous exterior and the inside is just as huge and looks exactly as the photos in the listing. Everything was provided including grilling equipment, laundry supplies, games, and full kitchenware including spices/condiments that we ended up using for a cookout. Every one of my guys raved about the comfort of the beds and how luxurious the bathrooms were. We used the downstairs TV suite and really had a good time the space was huge. The home was clean and lovely overall.

I had a terrific stay! The property is clean, and in great shape; Melanie does a great job of keeping everything organized. The location is terrific and is as described (30 second walk to the water) and there are restaurants in very close walking distance (one to two minutes). I look forward to staying here again—thank you very much!

We enjoyed a few days away from the hustle of every day life. We were able to play games, watch movies, go on hikes and go out to some local restaurants. It was a great get away.
