It's a very nice little cottage that has a private backyard and a deck with a nice view of the garden. We saw kangaroos in the morning. The place is very well-stocked, has a nice kitchen, toys for kids, boardgames, and books. very peaceful.

The cabin was just what we needed for our two week stay in Canberra visiting family. The space was ideal for the two of us (elderly folk) and we used the separate bedroom for our clothes, storing suitcases, etc. Both the bed and the sofa were very comfortable and all the linen looked almost new. The kitchen area has an induction cooktop, separate oven, microwave, large fridge and washing machine. Excellent saucepans and frypans. However, as we use airBnB accommodation to cut travel costs by cooking our own food, a few extra items (coffee plunger, serving dishes, colander, tongs and breadknife, for example) would have been welcome. The area is suburban so there was background noise such as dogs and young children but no traffic noise. It is a short walk to the Watson shops (nice cafe, supermarket with fantastic deli, takeaway and chemist) and a 15-20 minute walk to the nearest light rail stop. Parking is outside on the road. The Stables is absolutely stunning and a beautiful getaway. Samara was so helpful, friendly and considerate. This getaway in this beautiful town was exactly what my wife and I needed to reset from the hustle and bustle of work life. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a beautiful quiet place away to have a bath, sit by a fire, read a book and just take in the beautiful surroundings.
