Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Malia

It was absolutely amazing. Beautiful views from veranda. Gorgeously traditional house. A step away from a lovely beach. It was up a short, steep hill, perfect for us but might not be for everyone.

Nikos is the most friendly person in the world. He answered fast, was superhelpful and took me even to the airport by his car. I am so grateful for everything and recommend his place and him with best intentions. Kaupo Saue

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Marianthi's and Thodoris' house. The sea side view is just epic; from the hammock you can just chill, look over the sea and the mountains and feel the soft sea breeze. They are truly wonderful hosts, and they quickly responded to any requests from our side and provided us with nice suggestions on places to visit. The house was just beautiful and well cared for, especially the garden and patio were wonderful for our young kids who loved exploring and picking up lemons, that we used to make an amazing lemonade. Many days we started the day by walking to the nearby beach so that the kids could make sandcastles and we could relax into the day. We also enjoyed the restaurants at the beach that have a decent selection and good quality food. We would highly recommend this place to anyone, but especially to families with kids.

Highly recommend! A quiet area, close to everything. We stayed here start of October with our 14 yr old and 3 month old son. The apartment looks like the photos, very clean andy tidy. Very comfortable bed, was huge 💛. We had asked for a cot, which was there. The pool was lovely, very refreshing, solar heated. We were the only ones using it, due to out of main season, an unexpected luxury. The beach is a mix of sand and stones, literally just outside the gate. Within 10 mins walk is a supermarket, pharmacies, a patisserie with huge pain au chocolates - highly recommend, they also had pastries (cheese and bacon, mushroom and ham etc). If you walk along the sea front for about 20mins get into Gournes which has several beach bars, and restaurants/ cafes, we went to Taverna ambrosia, very good even had a baby change area (not everywhere has these) and soft play at the back. It’s a 45 min walk to the Creta aquarium, definitely worth a see. Ioannis arranged several taxis for us.

You won't find more welcoming and warm hosts than Alexis and Nikoleta. They and their wonderful, charming and very comfortable accomodation made a great vacation unforgettable. It's worth it for the patio alone, but that was just the start. They had the most extensive provisions in an acommodation we've come across, even a homemade pasta dish and the most delicious lemoncake on the day of our arrival. Without a doubt one of the best AirBnB experiences we've ever had. Absolutely fantastic.

A big thank you to Konstantinos for our stay in Crete. The accommodation is simply great, with a pool with stunning views of the mountains, a real asset for unforgettable moments of relaxation. The village where the house is located is also very welcoming, we highly recommend the tavern at the entrance to the village for its delicious specialties. We were also delighted by the attention of Konstantinos, who spoiled us with a fridge filled with fresh fruit, delicious homemade jam pots and, of course, Raki. All of this went a long way in making our stay idyllic. Thanks again for everything. We will keep a great memory of this experience.

Lovely house which has a great location in the city. Close to loads of restaurants and shops and within easy walking distance of lots of the main Heraklion attractions. Spotlessly clean when we arrived. Manos is a very welcoming host and was very helpful, even helping us book taxis. Would definitely stay here again.

This apartment has everything! Location is fantastic, near to many shops and restaurants, about 500 m from the waterfront and the old harbour, on the bus route to the airport….beds and even the sofa were comfortable for sleeping. It is near a busy intersection so there is a bit of traffic noise during the day, but no nightclubs nearby so no overnight noise. Eirini is a fantastic host and came to meet us personally. She left some nice welcome treats for us and this was very appreciated.

We spent four weeks here. Eleni and her mother are super hostesses. They were quick to respond to questions or issues. The apartment is well equipped, in a quiet location. Cars are parked in the cul de sac, but only pedestrians have access to the throughway. The flat is within a two minute walk to the historical, mostly pedestrian center, within the Venetian city walls. Nearby there are churches, museums, parks, restaurants, cafes, and a bustling nightlife. Supermarkets, shops, pharmacies, bus lines, and the beautiful port are all within minutes of the apartment. If you are visiting Heraklion this is where you will want to stay.

Stella's place was a lovely stay! With mountain views and the beach 5 minutes away, it was a peaceful and scenic stay. The space was clean and comfortable and Stella was so communicative! It was so convenient that she lived nearby as she was able to address any issues very quickly. A quick walk to Analipsi which is an adorable little town with markets and restaurants (definitely more things open during the on season, but still charming). Would definitely recommend a stay here!

This is truly one of the best accommodations I’ve stayed at over 10 tens of using Airbnb. I stayed here for 5 days. The place is so comfortable with a touch of luxury. It’s well stocked with everything you need from kitchen supplies to toiletries. The outdoor space is so good for eating meals and chilling. The hosts showed me so much warmth and hospitality. Upon checking in, there’s a bottle of rosé already chilling in the fridge. They brought me fruits from their farm and a glass of wine. I can’t wait to come back here another time!

I had the best time at George’s Apartment. The view is incredible, the little balcony very refreshing and the rooms absolutely convenient. I have loved the Meze Restaurant around the corner which is called The Hope and had the best time there.

BEST HOST EVER! I’ve never been so happy either a host and very comfortable and lovely place. All the facilities were above the expectations. Can’t wait to stay at George’s place again.

Tasos is an extremely welcoming host. When we arrived late, we found a generously stocked fridge and freezer. Fruits, jams, rusks and cold and hot drinks were waiting for us. And Tasos was absolutely adorable to make our stay easier. We really appreciate it. Her apartment is very nice , the jacuzzi and the beautiful view make it a rare find. We highly recommend this rental, even more appreciated thanks to the many details Tasos has thought of.

We had an amazing time. Manolis is very helpful and friendly. He gave us some great recommendations of beaches to go to and restaurants. The apartment is in a great location. It has everything you need and is really nicely decorated and very clean. If we end up in Agios Nikolaos again we will definitely stay there again

My stay was fantastic, The place was very easy to find from just a quick bus ride from the airport. The room was spotless, and all amenities were clean and in great condition. The host went above and beyond, providing fresh fruits and water, which was such a thoughtful touch. His messages were friendly, helpful, and he responded to messages very fast. The place is close to good restaurants and souvenir shops, and literally a 2 min stroll from the beautiful beach. I couldn’t have asked for a better host to make my holiday a success 👍 Highly recommend this place for a comfortable, hassle-free stay!
