Bungalhigh with Swimming Cove

JillRating, 5 stars4 months ago
This was such a delightful, peaceful & beautiful place to stay. Shelby was extremely responsive & helpful. I appreciated that she went the extra mile to alert me to the Aurora Borealis & encourage me to see it from the point. When the power went out b/c of a local car accident, she kept me updated with information about cause & when power was expected to return & provided flashlights & a special battery powered lightbulb to provide light. I couldn't have asked for more!

Beautiful large studio on the ocean.

MaryRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We could not have asked for a more perfect place to spend a long weekend! Hilary was kind, thoughtful and extremely communicative. She answered any questions we had and it was so nice to have a friendly face around. The space itself is perfect, it’s cozy but so spacious and bright. We loved the high ceilings and all the windows. We felt so at home the whole time. The location is also perfect, we were never more than a 10 minute drive from the things we wanted to do while also feeling nicely tucked away from the city in the evenings. We definitely hope to come back here!

Smith Cottage Higgins Beach

EricRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Bev was a wonderful host and the cottage was exactly what we needed - a clean and beautiful space to host the few of us who didn't have beds at my mom's place down the road during a big family gathering. The cottage has everything you could need, it's impeccably clean, quaint, and in great repair. So glad to have found Bev and the cottage (thank you again for your hospitality!), and will definitely be back again. One of the best short-term rental experiences I've had!

Cottage Near the Sea, private with deck

MelindaRating, 5 stars15 months ago
My fiancée and I stayed here for a week with our dog, Lily. It was a great location - only a short drive to Portland and in a beautiful neighborhood. The area is wooded, peaceful and highly walkable. The amenities in the house were perfect - so convenient to have a washer and dryer. We were able to cook breakfast every morning before our day got started with the fully stocked kitchen. The bed was super comfortable! We slept great. Elizabeth was responsive and friendly. Would stay again and highly recommend her place.

Springer Park! adorable guesthouse very stylish!.

JimRating, 5 stars1 month ago
My wife and I stayed for the last 2 weeks of the year. A very cozy place to come home to in the winter. Pine panelling on an open ceiling gives a rustic, cabin feel, especially with the stand of woods outside the window. Three large skylights allow plenty of natural light. No problem with the heater. It was a very comfortable place. Very easy access to I-295 and shopping for essentials. 15-20 minutes to Old Port area. And still it's very quiet and private. Easy to find in the dark - driveway right next to the town line. Hosts were responsive but not intrusive. Only cautions would be for very large people. Tolerances in the bathroom and carrying stuff up the typical Maine stairs to the apartment might be a concern. It was fine for us as we're small. We like to be close to things while feeling far away. It was perfect for us and reasonably priced.

Hands down one of the best places I have ever been. Linda and Jay were so warm and welcoming. Homemade cookies, breakfast items, tea, coffee and snacks. Everything we could ever need. The home is beautifully decorated and immaculate! Linda and Jay were very proactive and thoughtful! They even left information books about the area, gave us some recommendations and answered all our questions. I wish we could have stayed longer! It was truly magical!

Apartment in Brunswick with Country Charm No Fees

LauraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Linda & David's place was perfect for what I needed - convenient to get to, had everything I needed, and very comfortable! It's obvious they care about providing a positive experience and I would definitely stay here again. The information & instructions they provided were clear and helpful. Everything was immaculate and I felt right at home. The apartment is above the garage and separated from the main house, so it also felt comfortably private. I only stayed for 1 night but would also be very comfortable there for a longer stay. I always try to tidy up after myself, so I also really appreciate that they don't charge extra cleaning fees for something I would do myself anyway. 10/10 recommend!

Moody Mountain Cottage

GwenRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This Airbnb was amazing in every way! We especially enjoyed the views of the mountains, the decor, how clean it was, the trees decorated with lights outside, and all the personal touches. It was inviting, comfortable, and had everything we could think of including sleds! (There was a privacy screen to put between the beds which was an added bonus). The Moody Mt. Cottage was the perfect location for a cozy winter getaway to hike and relax. We highly recommend staying here. You won’t be disappointed. Cait was a fantastic host and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was special. We are so grateful!

BRAEBURN at The Appleton Retreat

BenjaminRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
My wife an I were looking for quiet, carefree stay in the middle of the woods and that's what we had. The accommodations were excellent. The windows allow a great view of the woods and sky (at least after the leaves fall) and the sun coming up over the horizon and the host's house. Their dogs came to greet us one night as we were getting in the hot tub and were just such a delight of well controlled enthusiasm. My wife walked the trail to the frozen pond/lake and really enjoyed it. Note that the hosts have a bunch of places to stay at the retreat and there are two entrances from the same road but you need to take the correct one to get your place. Google was very accurate, but I wasn't :) I highly recommend staying here.

Private, Log Guest House- 5 Mi to Ogunquit Center!

AdamRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Although not technically a cabin in the woods, that’s what it felt like. My one piece of advice would be to think about the exact experience you want. You’re about 20 minutes from a Little cafe, and maybe 45 minutes to Portland or Portsmouth. Totally doable! But it means you’ll be in the car a lot. I think the ideal use of this place is the in the middle of winter - load up the woodstove, lay in a supply of groceries, and commune with your beloved.

The Sparrow’s Nest Charming Country Cottage

LindaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
At the Sparrow's nest, we nestled in immediately. This was by far the most beautiful and magical stay -EVER. The pictures are amazing but the space is even better in person. Every inch of this gorgeous place was gracefully designed and decorated. The beds were like sleeping upon a cloud in luxury sheets. The hosts were so friendly and fun to talk to. We found many things in common. They provided us with names of great local restaurants and things to see and do. I am already planning to go back again next year and probably the year after that!

Schoodic Lake vacation rental!

LucasRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Went here last year, had a great time. It did not disappoint this year. Plenty of sleeping room for our party of fishermen, the two jack and Jill bathrooms were a must for eight guys on a fishing trip. Area is nicely divided inside so some guys could take a snooze while others were awake. This place is exactly as advertised, meant for groups out fishing or on the trails as a place to hang your hat for the weekend. Nicole is a great host, even let us park early there so we could get some fishing in before check in. Look, you are not spending the weekend inside at this place, you are out in nature, coming in for dinner and bedtime, and for our group of guys that’s exactly what we needed. If you are out on the hard water or sledding the trails, this is a comfy and surprisingly spacious stopover point. The host is top notch, will absolutely use this spot again next time we fish schoodic for the weekend!

A Cozy Little Carriage House *Spectacular Sunsets*

CollinRating, 5 stars4 months ago
My wife and I stayed here with our 5-month-old (not walking/crawling yet) for our first family road trip (which can be stressful) and Tara & Wallace made it a wonderful stay. It's a perfect spot on the peninsula to explore all the great restaurants, hikes, shops, etc between Blue Hill, Brooksville (Tinderhearth) Stonington, and Brooklin, which is exactly what we came for. The place was super comfortable, the sunsets were as described and the stars were fantastic. The host's responsiveness was especially helpful when I accidentally locked us out of the unit with a crying baby in the car! Would definitely stay again!

Sunny guesthouse in coastal Maine

ScottRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Convenient for us as we have family down the street. Nicely appointed with kitchen supplies, quality linens, coffee/ tea and some bathroom items. Pullout is best for one adult or two small kids as you lay parallel with the couch instead of perpendicular. (One of our teenaged kids needed to stay elsewhere.) High ceilings mean that noise carries so whomever is sleeping on the couch needs to be an earlier riser. Some street noise present. Would stay again…probably with 4 adults instead of “6.” Great place!

Old Orchard Oasis

KayRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Cozy, clean, great bed, good shower. We came at Christmas when it was quite cold and were thus able to access the walking trails out in back of the property without fear of ticks. Lots of small thoughtful touches and beautiful poinsettias to welcome us. Phoebe and Nathan responded immediately to our queries. Easy check-in and we felt safe. The property was quiet. Very nice stay.
