Heliopetra is MUST STAY if you are in Ios. Ioanna and her husband are extremely hospitable, have great recommendations on the island. The view was spectacular and the photos DO NOT do it justice. Absolutely breathtaking views to wake up to in the morning and come back to after a day at the beach (there are many). Spent hours stargazing from the outdoor furniture. Perfect for a couple or small group of friends visiting the island, it is a 10 minute walk from Chora but the walk is so beautiful it feels like nothing. There property was authentic cycladic living. The unit was built by her husband and you can tell by the attention to detail. The bathroom was so serene with the most amazing view from the shower. Has all the amenities you would need for a long stay. If you’re debating where to stay, this is it!

Maria is an extremely warm, likeable and helpful hostess. We immediately felt comfortable! The property is in a fantastic location. A priceless view of the sea, at night you can hear the waves rushing with the window open. The house is lovingly decorated and has everything you need. We hope that one day we will return to this beautiful place.

If there was a 10 star option, we would choose it. Our experience was simply perfection! George was THE best host we’ve ever had. The accommodations were beautiful. The pictures can’t do them justice. The kitchen was fully stocked as promised. Even some treats and basic necessities (milk, eggs, butter, bread, cereal etc.) and local cheeses and sweets. The bed was so comfortable, I wanted to take the pillows home! The bathroom was very well appointed. The outdoor area was such a treat. Comfortable, very large spaces and we enjoyed the charcoal bbq four times. The view, there are no words! Magganari beach was simply eye candy. We took many deep breathes and smiled constantly looking at what felt like heaven! Everything was spotless, so clean. We caught a cold during our trip and George graciously offered to go into town for us to get us cold and flu medication. When he returned, he came back with more local treats and refused to take money. George, we can’t thank you enough! Just book it

Beautiful bungalow unit only a couple of minutes away from a sandy beach with crystal clear waters. Maria‘s mother and a friend, who lives close by, were very helpful. We were traveling late september, so only one beach restaurant was open. Important to know, that you need to have a car, since the closest supermarket was a 30 minute drive away, in the Chora. Beautiful, peaceful and safe location and the unit itself was very private and nice.
