Places to stay in Magee

This was the perfect place for a long weekend getaway. The property is beautiful and quiet, exactly what we were looking for. The tub and deck were our favorite parts of the trip. Highly recommend for a relaxing trip.

Easter weekend was not our first booking at this perfect location and will certainly not be our last. My two and a half year old grandson loves the huge yard where he plays with his bubble machines, visits the pond, or just runs around the gently rolling front yard. there is so much to see and do at this home. Maybe your visit will line up with the hatching birds in the nest hidden in the front door wreath!!!

Audrey and her husband were awesome hosts! I was not sure how long we needed to stay and when our reservation ran out we were able to stay without any interuption until we were able to close on our home. They allowed us to park our Uhaul on site (a big deal!) which saved us time trying to find storage. The day after we arrived, they came over to meet us and tell us about the area. The cottage was clean, equipped and safe. The antique furnishings in the cottage are fabulous...i cant imagine the stories they have to tell! The wildlife is abundant along with the farm life; cattle, geese, chickens, cats, fish, etc. You'll never have a dull moment at the Ranch Hand Cottage! We were blessed to have 2 new calfs born while we were there. If you want to get out of the city or share the country with your city friends, this is THE place! Poplarville is such a cute town, like a step back in time. I will be recommending Audrey and her cottage to anyone that wants to stay in the area.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Virginia is an excellent host she was available for what ever we need 24 hrs a day. She greeted us when we arrived at the home, that personal touch speaks volumes. We can’t wait for summer to return for those amazing views

We enjoyed our stay at Pam’s place, quiet place to stay, comfy beds, all the kitchen appliances we needed to cook a home meal. We enjoyed the creek but most of all we enjoyed seeing all the wildlife being in the woods brings.

Ahhhh the perfect spot in Percy Quin. We decided last minute to getaway with our kids and dog; found this little gem and booked immediately! Kay’s place is the definition of cozy. The living room + kitchen is spacious and comfortable… the downstairs bathroom is a bonus! Plenty of furniture space to relax, play games, eat, and nap. Upstairs there 2 generous sized rooms + full bathroom. We all slept well and enjoyed the natural light in the bedrooms. Wi-fi is fast. The yard space with fire pit and chairs is PERFECT …. Kids played volleyball and the dog enjoyed exploring. Kay’s place is a 1-2 minute walk from the fishing pier and lake! Directly across the street and so convenient. We explored fishing spots in the park, added a lock to the “love-lock bridge”, hiked the nature trail, left for lunch @ the Dinner Bell , grilled dinner both nights @ a pavilion in the park, napped, made smores on Kay’s fire pit, played games. Kay was kind and responsive and generous! Can’t wait to come back!

I had the joy of staying at this fantastic property not just once, but twice, and I can't recommend it highly enough! My first visit was for a graduation and engagement party, while the second was to prepare for our daughter's wedding. The house itself was spotless and beautifully decorated, striking the perfect balance between modern amenities and cozy charm. The spacious living area was perfect for unwinding after a busy day of wedding preparations. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor patio, where we had the chance to catch up with friends. Our host was exceptionally responsive and provided us with a wealth of information about the area, including great recommendations for activities and dining. It was truly a wonderful experience!
