Amazing place to stay for short or long-term in Puerto López! The kitchen is great with all the needed accoutrements, and I pretty much lived on the amazing deck in the hammock for a week! So many bird watching opportunities, incredibly comfortable bed, hot and spacious shower. The yoga shala on the roof above offers the best sunset views of PL and provides ample space to exercise and stretch. The whole property is gorgeous, honestly. Vincent and Agnes were so helpful, offered lots of privacy but responded promptly when I had questions or needed anything. Vincent makes the best artisanal cerveza on the coast! I enjoyed my time here immensely. Easy walk into town through a relaxed neighborhood and a quick mototaxi ride back up the hill. I will definitely be back! Thank you!

Recs: 1) Guided 4 hour kayaking, snorkeling, and paddleboarding with Miguel - expert on scheduling the best time for the water, weather, and location. We went to Isla El Sucre from Machalilla which he drove us to and saw blue footed booobies (unique seabirds!) 2) Pt. Lopez for groceries at Tia and ATM cash withdrawals (Banco Pichincha.) Taxis are cheaper when you flag them down and share the ride with other locals/strangers. 3) Manta for malls or other special shopping, only $5 each way by bus. Max 20 minutes wait at the bus stop. As a solo female traveler I always felt safe, just be smart and aware as usual. 4) Pt. Rico street food - around 6pm cheese empanadas, chicken chifles, and beef walking tacos are sold on front porches near the bodega in town. 5) Montanita Lost Beach dance club. 6) Ayampe restaurants (corviche, Italian, and farm-to-table.) 7) Fernando for delivering fresh organic produce, eggs, hot meals, chicken empanadas, and peanut butter ceviche (Ecuador staple, must try!)
