Waterfront vacation rentals in Mação

It's right what the reviews say, they don't do it justice! I felt like I was in British Colombia in Canada, it was really beautiful. I can only imagine in the peak season and much warmer it would have been even better. In mid-November we were still able to use the pool and the water was even warmer in the lake. The 3 of us took the canoe out, life jackets provided and a paddle each, and head off around the lake and explored the islands and shores. The apartment is old but comfortable and everything you need for a great holiday. The balcony views and sunsets are so beautiful. We did a big shop from LIDL and just picked up bread and other bits from the local town. Nice cafes and places for a coffee. We were so calm and happy there though we could have stayed forever!!! Jealous of the owners. Kids would love it, especially ones a little older that can play alone, they would love to venture down to the lake and jump in! We are already planning a return for the summer time next year.

Very nice accommodation, well equipped. Beautiful environment surrounded by nature. Be careful, vacation homes are under construction nearby, causing some noise disturbances but this should not last. Host not very responsive in communication but always responds to messages in the end. I recommend it.

We stayed at Casa Zen in October/ November and felt at home from the first second! Eric was always available, for concerns or for directions! The view was breathtaking! Rarely seen such a great starry sky and had such a peace and quiet! Absolutely recommended to just switch off and relax. Also 2.3 rainy days were not a problem. With the fireplace, the apartment warms up quickly. Eric also likes to support you if you have no idea of fire like us! There is much to do in the area, Tomar, for example, is worth a visit! However, you definitely need a rental car and have to be reasonably good on your feet! Good supermarkets such as Continente are about 20 minutes by car! An absolute recommendation is fig. de Foz, breathtaking waves, great beach! About 1.5 hours away! We will be happy to come back again in the summer!

Best Airbnb we have ever stayed at! Views and location were breathtaking. Eric’s Airbnb was extremely clean & had everything you could need. Eric was an amazing host who went above & beyond for us. Very proactive & helped out with any request we had, even when we needed to find a vet for my dog he was very responsive. The pool was incredible, hiking down to the lake & kayaking will be my favourite parts of our holiday. Already planned a trip for next year!!!

We arrived a little early and it was no problem. The place was very quiet, cute and comfortable. The Canduxa Lodge is a perfect place to relax, see a beautiful sunset or enjoy a relaxed breakfast on the balcony with a great view.

Amazing stay at this beautiful lake. The apartment is extremely spacious with a huge balcony and a picturesque view. There is a kayak which we used to explore the endless lake - a perfect peaceful getaway.

Ana and her husband were super friendly and accessible! The house is wonderful, it is perfectly equipped, clean and cared for. The yard and jacuzzi are very good! We had the opportunity, as Ana suggested, to make a trail for nature and get to know the natural landscapes of the area. We would highly recommend it and hope to go back!

Amazing spot for a peaceful getaway, located right next to an old historical Templar site and church. The house is beautiful, rooms are spacious and cosy and well heated. Plenty of walks and facilities nearby.

We had a beautiful stay at this place. Surrounded by woodland, with an incredible view it’s the perfect place to disconnect, swim and relax by the fire. Muito obrigada Inês, we hope to return one day!

On the edge of the Zêzere River, the house is cosy and is carefully clean and furnished, offering both a very large and comfortable interior and exterior space. Quietly, on the balconies of the house or in the pool area, you can enjoy a spectacular landscape anytime. The surrounding area invites tours of the surrounding area. There is also the possibility of enjoying boat trips and water sports, since the Clube Nautico do Zêzere is a distance from a pleasant 10-minute boat crossing. A visit to the Templar village of Dornes may be another option for the historical interest to which the proximity is combined (about 15 minutes). Hosts are very kind and available. Thanks to the combination of all these aspects, we spent an excellent family weekend, which we would undoubtedly repeat, so we highly recommend! Thanks, João!
