Cottage vacation rentals in Mabou

We booked super last minute so we could stay longer in town to visit my grandparents - we were beyond pleased with our stay! We had asked the host if there was any stores near by as we weren’t familiar with the area just to grab the kids some hot dogs but nothing was close nor near by and the host actually came down with hot dogs, buns and ketchup for my kids! Such a sweet gesture!!! The cabin was adorable - above expectation! Will definitely book again!

Beautiful location and beautiful cottage. Pristine condition and everything a person needs to settle in. We came prepared with our own items but they have provided many things. It is set up to have an experience and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Get some lobster and relax!

I would highly recommend. Kristy's place. It is very private with your own access to the lake. There is lots to do with canoes, lifesjackets, and washertoss games available. Or you can just relax on the back deck and enjoy the view.

We loved staying here for one night while we golfed. The proximity to everything in town is great! We loved enjoying the hot tub overlooking the course and ocean. I would highly recommend to anyone traveling to this area, we plan to be back!

Our stay was fantastic! The hosts were friendly and welcoming. We had to check in at their charming pub nearby, which caught my eye with its beautiful exterior. It was undergoing renovations and we couldn’t dine in, but the hosts kindly offered us takeout. The food was delicious, and they even hand-delivered it to our Airbnb, which was a nice touch! The view from the cottage was amazing, and nothing beats enjoying it from the hot tub. I have no complaints at all! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a wonderful getaway.

In an area awash with cabins and motel rooms, most of which, from looking online, look mediocre at best, this was certainly far superior. Exactly as described and in a great location- just off the road in an elevated position with great sunsets. All the essentials and more were provided.

We had a wonderful family vacation at Macloud Cove. My niece and nephews enjoyed playing in the water. I enjoyed drinking tea on the deck. Everyone enjoyed how close it was to the Cabot Trail and Sydney. It was lovely. Highly recommend it.

Very comfy and cozy little cabin. Shawn was very quick to respond to all my messages. The beach was close and private. We enjoyed our 1 night there.

We stayed a week in Nadene’s cottage in Ingonish and it was perfect for us. The location is excellent and the proximity to the beach and views are exceptional. The cottage is equipped with everything you need for cooking or grilling and the satellite TV was a bonus. We’ve stayed at a number of places over the years in Ingonish area and none are better than Nadene’s. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A sweet little home. The grounds are great if you want to bbq or have a bon fire. Just a short drive from town and the beach. Quick response from Melissa was very appreciated.

Lovely decorated house in a quiet neighborhood on a rural road. Has all of the essentials you need. Really enjoyed walking to the beach in the evenings. Nice restaurants and cafes very close by. Great base camp for our hikes into the Highland Park.

This is our third time visiting these cabins. They are fantastic each and every time we come. Our visit was in the winter this time and during a storm. The owner was very communicative with us, and the drive was plowed early so access was decent. There was a shovel provided that we used frequently. The heat pump kept the place very toasty. however I don't believe there is much insulation underneath the cabins, so if you are travelling in the winter, bring slippers or else you'll have very cold feet!

We had a lovely stay at the cabin. Jayne and Luis were welcoming and friendly hosts who were quick to respond to any inquiries. The space is just as pictured, and was just as sparkling clean as other guests have observed in their reviews. We really appreciated the use of laundry facilities given the wet and cold weather, and found the cabin to be a very comfy and cozy retreat after a day of exploring this beautiful island. Thank you again - we hope to return soon!!

Large, nicely decorated cottage in a very isolated location. Beach was a bit of a walk, but well worth it!! Two decks to choose from depending on sun and weather. Loved sitting outside under cover! To say the cottage was 'well stocked' would be an understatement!! It was loaded with everything from a full complement of kitchen ware to lots of cozy blankets to cards and books! We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, private getaway!!

The house on the lake was just what we needed to enjoy a cousin get-away! The house has plenty of indoor space to socialize and relax. The outdoor space was stunning ~ loons, heron, and otters entertained us in the lake. There are extra bedrooms and bathroom in the converted garage. It is very peaceful and the scenery is beautiful.

What a perfect little piece of paradise this was. Calm, peaceful and relaxing. they were several extra touches that made the stay wonderful. thank you for the beautiful stay on our vacation. We asked about using the kayaks after we had checked out, there were very accommodating.

Little oasis tucked away from it all. The location is very private and has incredible views and sunsets if you're lucky. Had all the amenities needed to cook some dinner after a day hiking or to put your feet up and relax and enjoy the views. Eric and Von responded very quickly to any questions we had and we're a pleasure to deal with.

This is a lovely, little college situated perfectly to explore Cape Breton and Cheticamp. The views are lovely and peaceful. The cottage is very cozy and tastefully appointed. Jillian is a great, responsive host.

Barbara’s cottage is pristine, relaxing, and beautiful. It is private, cozy, the perfect retreat. Barbara goes above and beyond with special touches around the cabin. I recommend the cottage to anyone looking for some peaceful tranquility!

beyond our expectations! Really clean, tight and cozy. Never imagined such clean, cozy cottage hidden in the woods. Katherine was extremely supportive! Best 2 day visit! love it.
