Vacation rentals in Loxton

The scenery was breath taking on the way to the farm. The accommodation was country chic...expertly decorated that makes you feel that this is home, this is where you can relax and recharge. Andrew was an excellent help and quickly answered my myriad of questions. I unfortunately got sick on the way to Andrew and Linda's place so I didnt get to take a walk in the veld but I did enjoy Linda's beautiful garden. I will have to make their place our next stop over place when we go to Cape Town again so that I get to explore their farm.

A great farm stop while on your way to Cape Town or if looking for time away from the city. We had a wonderful stay, the accommodation was clean and the kitchen was amazing. The night sky was incredible!

Karin's place was just perfect for our family. We felt at home straight away.

I wish I could give this more than 5 stars. The accommodations are exactly what you expect, it’s in the middle of the Karoo. This isn’t a modern tech-fuelled getaway, this is a Karoo breakaway from everything that is loud and intrusive in our everyday lives. Chante is one of the best hosts I have encountered, she makes the best ‘plaaskos’, while being very humble about her skills, she is a true master chef. The food was incredible! Herself and her youngest son made us feel right at home. Horseback riding, sheep sheering, quad bike if you like. This is an absolute gem and we would go back for the hospitality alone. Make this a regular stopover on the way, you will not regret it!

Wow... the view was the reason we booked this place, and it deliverd! Pleacefull place with no signal is just what we needed on our roadtrip! The stoep and the view is worth the travel.

A clean and imaginatively furnished house located in the middle of the Karoo. Sheep, pigs and the house dog come to visit. Due to the rain, we experienced the Karoo green; it started to bloom everywhere. Great place to rest. Beautiful outdoor shower with wood-heated boiler, which, however, heats itself sufficiently in sunshine. Beaufort West is a good hour from the house, so bring everything you need for food for the duration of your stay. Meat is available from the landlord and can be grilled in front of the house. Walks through the Karoo are possible from the house without any limits. We were very comfortable in the house and in the surroundings.

Erica and her team is very friendly helpful and accommodating. Strong WiFi great for the social media update. Burgers was great after al long days drive. Beautiful surroundings and peaceful. Will book again on our next trip down Capetown.

The 'Kliphuis' on Kalkfontein farm is 'next-level' off-grid living and we really enjoyed our two nights there. The peacefulness we experienced, is exactly what our souls needed to recover from our hectic city-lives. Just candles at night, a beautiful warm crackling fire in the huge fireplace, the unbelievable night-sky, with stars so close it feels you can reach up and touch them, a hot shower before snuggling into a cozy, clean bed. You feel like you become part of history staying in the beautifully restored old stone house. Anine is one of the most authentic people we have met and takes great care to ensure you have everything you need as her guest. We will definitely be back.
